I remember playing this nearly 20 years ago. The dragon killed everyone on my team except for Canas. Canas needed to land a critical hit to kill the dragon or it was game over. Canas came through with the crit and the dragon was slain! 12-year old me didn’t know Hector had his own story though, RIP.

I couldn't figure out a good way to fight the dragon when i beat this game a while back, so I just marched all my spare units into it's line of sight so it'd attack them instead of hector and lyn and just got them all massacred lol

Let them attack you. That way you know how much damage they can do and you can move damaged units out of range or heal them.
