this chapter is no pain, just despair in maddening, it's the only map of the game where i feel forced to do a warp strategy :/ Thank you so much for this guide

Same here mate, this stage has a terrible map design in maddening dif. I killed more than 80 enemies and the reinforcements kept coming, even with the finest builds you can't stand the almost-endless reinforcements, then, tried the wrap strategy and won in a few turns. From the impossible to an absurd win :/ There is a huge difference between a challenging map and an unfair one.

@@RandomDrood Even just killing the thieves and warping around the doors gives you so much more breathing room.Infinite reinforcements worth no exp are one thing, but there are so many checkpoint stations for them to start flanking you from every step of the way.

Unfortunately I was careless on my used for the warp staffs and used all of them until this point on maddening. So I had to brute force through the enemies in 6 turns.

lol i just beat this boss in 2 and a half hours yesterday (I viscerally remember stopping partway through it as it began to dawn on me that the reinforcements were endless & thinking, Oh No) so it was very satisfying watching you clear it in ONE TURN. I never would've thought of using rewarp as a super warp on a Micaiah user, that's so genius! honestly, after beating fe1, I'm always marginally terrified of the reinforcements being infinite, so that part wasn't too bad. funnily enough it was the 0 mov boss that got to me. girl please get off your throne. I managed to drag my best units to the top and take her out but OOH. it was crazy

Very late but the reinforcements actually aren't endless, they just don't stop till turn 20 💀I played it straight w/o warpskipping exactly once and it took like 2+ hours and abusing DLC strategies (Soren!Veyle)

i watched this on my first playthough of engage, which was also my first game so naturally i had no idea how to be this good and it was very helpful, without it I would have been stuck. Recently, though, i discovered how to do this only using 4 units and a lot less warp staffs, making use of the dragon type effect on miciah's engage skill to warp an extra 1 space per turn, which is enough to clear using rewarp 2 times and nothing else

Really cool skip. I was wondering how you kept Celine viable in a late game team? She seems to drop off immensely after the early chapters.

she definitely does, still she can contribute against armor and for the most part I just used her as a staff bot, staffs in this game are really good

Personally, Celine seems insane with Byleth. Celine's personal class and overall growths allows her growth in str to be about as much as her magic. Byleth comes in with a weapon reliant on str that is boosted with magic which is pretty good for celine. That paired with the staff spam makes for a pretty good support spam and damage dealer.

@@Bluemoon064 I've heard about weapon arts calculating damage using both strength and magic, would Celine be a good candidate as a martial master then?

@@gabrielbolanos3871 I'm actually not sure, this is the first ,I've heard of arts doing that. Maybe not, though, as that requires her to lose access to tomes and she does not have the greatest defense growth even with the martial master class.

Well I gave her an S Olwen ring and a forged thunder tome with an Ike engrave. It's pretty hard to be bad with that. Though you can do this with any magic user (I did this with Ivy too for example and she can actually take things out on her own instead of just softening them up a bunch) since Olwen rings aren't exactly a limited resource...they're just a pain to get even with exploits.

This was actually the most obvious way in my opinion to beat the level, from the moment I realized the AI would not break down doors and that the units in the fell shard room had 0 mov I knew I would just warp in and take Lumera down asap (wound up taking me 5 turns)

Just finished this chapter thanks to this strat (and Ike!Panette being so good). Playing the chapter straight on Maddening is such a pain. I know this isn't a DLC run (prob bc DLC wasn't out much yet) but to anyone trying this who has DLC, if you don't have another unit who could wreck Lumera like Chloe, bring a Veronica user with you so you can instead double dance your Brave Axe Ike unit. And to anyone who is like me and didnt give Alear Canter, you can also pack a Warp on Hortensia and warp Alear and the gang to the same spot where you would rewarp. This means your Ike user can also get boosted from Alear's personal, though I doubt they really need it unless they don't quad and barely can't ORKO Lumera. Though I doubt many people will run into this and even for me I didn't need it.
