This is by far the biggest fumble of this game. Imagine how much more impactful this would have been if it was actual corrupt versions of bosses from games pass instead of just generic enemy models.

I agree 100%, they didn't even have to give them special skills, I would have been happy with them just adding their actual models.

Considering that their names are also vague (i.e. Nergal is referred to as Dark Druid), it may be to avoid spoilers to their respective games. Still a missed opportunity though.

I don't disagree, but the cost-effectiveness of creating, modeling, and rendering those bosses for just one map would've been a huge loss from a business standpoint. Not to mention that these interactions only work if you either know the franchise bosses or just got lucky.

I think that the dark emblems should have been more intimidating than the hooded figures. Medeus & Duma: appears as a flying dragon with glowing eyes. Loptous: an long Demon snake dragon who is floating. Idunn: her corrupted form is similar to Fallen Rhea. Nergar , Veld , Ashnard and Nemesis: their skin is pale and their eyes are glowing red. Fomortiis , Grima and Anankos: no changes they are already bizarre. Ashera: an light golden corrupted spirit with red eyes.

This is the most unique take I've heard for the dark emblems. This would have been really interesting to see fully implemented.

They should have let the DLC emblems have a dialogue with their villain. And add one based on Heroes if you bring Veronica (the boss should be Embla).

They should have used Thales instead of Nemesis. Also, it should have been Zephiel instead of Idunn. Idunn is kind of a spoiler for FE6

Or maybe Edelgard/Hegemon Husk since she is set up as a major antagonist for 3/4 of the routes but be kinda like with Roy where Byleth is still hesitant to attack her, wishing things could have been different.

@@hrislI’d say Emblem Byleth holds the records of every path his counterparts went through. Emblems aren’t the real people and are more like living records of the person from different timelines. That’s just what I speculate and could be wrong.

@@Tyztube21emblems aren't the real hero in question, they're their own being... however they're still based on the original and have their counterpart's memories based on my understanding.... Meaning verdant wind has to be the canonical route... outside of silver snow no other route really focuses on nemesis. In fact, he's barely a footnote in edelgard's or Dimitri's route... I wouldn't bet on silver snow because byleth only fought him in VW. Meaning he shouldn't even recognize him much less "be familiar"

@@worthywill9294Nemesis was a historical figure in Fodlan that everyone knew to be dead for over 1000 years. Byleth knowing who he is isn't necessarily indicative of anything.
