based on the trailers and some short videos on JP twitter, its confirmed that is the case. every "emblem" will bring with them several weapon that your character and the emblem could use. sigurd have been seen attacking using Lance and Sword which are both canon. byleth even bring Creator sword and Aymr (edelgard axe) so Lyn should bring both Mulagier Bow and Mani katti too

Byleth's skill references the White Heron Cup (the way to unlock Dancer class in Three Houses which gives units an extra turn in battle). Other than that this looks very promising I like it ^^

Herons in Tellius also had AoE Dance as an ability. The best Laguz species. I mean, specifically, it was Rafiel who could/can AoE Dance people around him (one in each adjacent square), though.

Worry not, people have spotted both Failnaught and Amyr as weapons so far, as well as I think the gauntlets from the Wolves DLC? (I could be wrong on that last one, but he did have some kind of gauntlet looking weapon that looked like the relic!) Check the little bottom inventory bar in the Byleth battle sections. : D

Emblem engage looks like the advance form of pairing moves in Awakening. Those extra moves makes the unit so op. Definitely adding on my wishlist. I'm interested too see more trailers. The protagonist still looks a bit off with red and blue contrast colouring. Gameplay mechanics looks good so far.

apparently the leak confirming this game with the cursed screenshot about colgate fire emblem mentioend FE4 being a thing coming late 2023 or early 2024... letting me wonder who's developing it because it needs alot of resources and care to make that game whole and polishing it up. It would be SO funny if Shouzo Kaga from ye ol' FE days of the 90s is back in the buisness again after his Vesparia Saga storyline.

@@techpriest6962 everything we’ve seen thus far leads me to believe that engage will be quite different from 3H while still maintaining the great quality of life improvements. So it’s highly unlikely it will suffer from any of the issues, but time will tell. Despite how unique 3H is I still really enjoyed it. So much good with just a little bad here and there. Engage will probably be similar. I’m just glad we’re getting another mainline from fe game in the series.

@@cd4playa1245 I'm more so talking about the elements of FE3H that were clearly rushed with incomplete story lines. Where we saw pretty obvious plot gaps where it was apparent content should have been in paths like Crimson Flower, Church, and the Golden Deer. Otherwise FE3H was a great idea, 2 of my favorite FE characters are from the title. I am very critical, because if they sold one incomplete game. It wouldn't shock me if they did it again.

I can't speak for everyone else, but the reason why I don't like the design is because the colours clash really badly, and there doesn't seem to be any explainable reason as to why they have to look like that. It just feels really random for the sake of being random.

It is Joycon colors and everyone have bad memory of them drifting. Well, it is hard to accept because it is a 'new' direction. I think it is the first time FE use radiant colors for everything. They usually have this grey-ash color filter so the sky is never that shining bright blue. It is hard to accept new stuff basically. Not to add how older FE player love their political story while Engage looks anything but that. Impression-wise, the story premise looks like FE Fates so it just rings some bad alarm.

They have this hair because Alear was evil but he awoke as a good Guy, probably when he find his way as a good guy his hair will turn full blue, you can even see a flashback (or maybe a future since it is possible a bad ending too) where Alear is with a full red in burning ruins
