ivanbluecool To be fair, Saizo has a perfectly good reason to not trust Corrin initially. I mean the guy brought an Axe wielding brute with him! He couldn't inform this to Ryoma since this takes time at Chapter 4.

Indeed. In fact, its Saizo's JOB to be suspicious. He's a ninja, master of deception, assassination, stealth, etc. Meaning that he's supposed to be suspicious of some people that just come up. Honestly, the developers just go out of their way to make Corrin be Fire Emblem version of Kirito. That's basically it.

+ivanbluecool come on. When did saizo even state that he hates his brother. Due to the event which caused saizo to lose his right eye, saizo distance himself with his brother. That's because his heart couldn't handle it. he saw his father die in front of him and he couldn't do anything to prevent it. He focused on becoming stronger. He didn't want his brother to be caught up in his problem nor be worried about him.

Takumi is fan favorite before this and now i put him in my top 10 as he is the most realistic character in the game as he has real issues to deal with.

@@guydude439 takumi was well written just not in a favorable story and what ryouma does to him as well as losing his father and step mother it makes sense why he wants to prove himself. Also wow ryouma how could you talk about a sibling you probably will never see again while takumi is right there. Sakura at least has dolls of her family so yeah Xander is a much better brother overall especially with Elise since it nealry broke him when she got cut down by him. Takumi if given a better story would shine and the cd shows how human and real he actually is. Funny enough every story I see people hate someone like takumi it's funny as the one they hate is the one who is the most like us and that's takumi. Leo is a close second but he is more an enemy in most of the story and doesn't get a lot like takumi.

This makes so much sense and it sucks that they could not include it to the game, probably because it was too gender-specific. The female Corrin's version is not as gender-specific as this if I remember correctly (meaning they could have replaced "she" with "he" and it would still make sense.). It really makes me pray for the future of Fire Emblem to just drop the "avatar" bullshit. It worked in Blazing Blade, it got away in Awakening because he was not the main protagonist (though I would have been way more satisfied if they just let him be "Robin" and not "Avatar"...), but now it's gone too far and been used too much. I would have loved to see Corrin as his own character, going through actual character development instead of being this blank slate for players to project themselves onto. Which is why I loved playing both Alm and Celica's routes in Echoes. Ephraim and Eirika as well. Fire Emblem, please... Just stop it. It fucks up your stories and characters so much.

It pisses me off, because Saizo isn't suspicious because Hans attacked Hoshidans; he's suspicious because Corrin is close with the Nohr siblings. He's just being bigoted because they're Nohrians, not because of the attack. And Takumi was just looking for an excuse for hating Corrin, because he was jealous. #BlametheBigots

Why would it not be suspicious that he is close with the Nohr siblings, though? Takumi was skeptical, but did not actually dislike Corrin until after his mother was killed due to him appearing. And he still didn't hate him. Not unless he chooses Nohr over Hoshido. Because, you know, then he invades his home and murders his friends and family...
