So update time: I've had these videos in the works for a few weeks now (working on them in the background while listening to livestreams), and now they're done I thought I might as well get them out of the way. But I have the first 5 parts of Trails in the Sky recorded so those will be coming soon. I just need to edit together the introductory video first. On the subject of these videos, there might be a slight snag with the E-5 one. According to Serenes Forest, Ashera has special boss dialogue with Micaiah and Lehran. Her boss conversations are weird though, they only trigger if SHE initiates the attack (which can be either her single-target snipes or her 1-2 range attack once her auras are gone, but not AOEs). I've got her conversations with Ike and Kurthnaga, but the other two are a problem: I think she's coded to not directly attack Micaiah or Lehran. I've tried only deploying Ike and Micaiah, giving Ike Stillness and Micaiah Provoke and she STILL won't attack her. It looks like those two conversations are impossible to see without hacking. Which I don't have access to.

Awesome, i've been waiting on the trails videoes, i cant wait. ive never played the games admittedly, (one 80 hour RPG is hard to play on my schedule, let alone several 80 hour RPGs that build on each other) but ive heard endless good things about them. Well that's no fun, i wonder if that counts as unused content then, cause unintentionally or not, a normal player won't be able to view them. Probably not. Hmm... On an unrelated note, I believe you've said that Panne is your M!Robin ship of choice . Outside of MarySue, What is your F!Robin ship? (for those who care for M!Robin, I'm torn evenly between Lucina, Cordelia and Tiki. There is also a tiny part of me that likes Robin x Azura [here's why www.fanfiction.net/s/12495750/1/Dreams-and-Revelations] For F!Robin, I'm partial to Lon'qu and Priam [you want an OP Morgan, that's how])

I guess those conversations are a bit like the BK's death quote in part 1. I think I may have said this before, but my F!Robin ship is Kellam. It's his only paired ending where his name isn't lost to history, and their supports are actually really good.

I could be wrong but doesn't lunatic mode Jarod have Luna, so if you unequipped Alondite and then Jarod got consistent Luna (or at least critical even if he doesn't get Luna) Procs? Your right I think you have said that and I didn't remember, but now that you say it again, I recall that being said about Kellem's paired ending.

Jarod's not a Third Tier, so he can't have Luna at all. And boss stats are actually identical between Normal (Jp Hard) and Hard (Jp Maniac), oddly enough. Even on Easy/Jp Normal, only the first 5 bosses have different stats and equipment to their Normal/Hard versions. The one other difference is the boss BK in E-2 doesn't have Imbue on Easy. So there's no changes with Jarod.

it honestly really goes hard. Haar is a such a memreble character, both in terms of combat and personality. He is the typical 'bored' character, but at the same time he also holds wisdom and some killer insults.

Even though he didn't actually counterattack. He's programmed not to attack Micaiah (because Zelgius ordered him not to) and Sanaki (because even though he chose his loyalty to Zelgius now, he still is also loyal to Sanaki, but its also possible Selgius ordered him not to attack Sanaki, too, under Sephiran's orders). He's probably also programmed not to attack the Herons, but because the game doesn't expect you to use a "card" to attack using the herons, there's no unique dialogue there when trying to attack with the herons and instead its his generic dialogue. But he still won't counterattack them.

1:51 Whenever I imagine Tanith’s voice, my mind immediately goes to Morag Ladair’s voice from XC2. Not only are the two of them in similar positions in their respective empire, but they also have somewhat similar personalities and they even kind of lookalike. 4:32 As for Rafiel’s voice, I think a softer version of Caduceus Clay’s version would fit. Also those three conversations were noticeably copy-pasted on Levail’s part. 5:14 And for once Levail DIDN’T say something related to either “My Loyalty is with General Zelgius!” or “On my honour as a knight”. Admittedly not one of the most interesting Endgame bosses in terms of conversations. Then again, Levail isn't the most interesting product of the 'Camus Archetype" by a long shot anyways, so I'm not surprised.

1:51 They actually are kind of similar, though Tanith recently got an official voice in Heroes. I tried to get her on that banner but had no luck. I like how that banner basically confirmed her and Sigurn act as a pain of surrogate mothers to Sanaki though. 4:32 That fits. Also, you can only bring one Heron to Endgame, so the copy-pasting is sort of hidden there. (But other Heron boss dialogues are unique for each one) I agree he's not the most interesting, but his conversations with Haar, Sanaki and Oliver are great.

I think Levail had the potential to be interesting, but his lack of notable appearances alongside not being recruitable somewhat strangled that potential.

I mean, as far as Camuses go, Levail betrayed his master to fight for another master. That is something. And Oliver is not entirely wrong, Levail does have a nice design. Maybe a bit generic, but Fire Emblem characters are mostly human, so not all of them are gonna have wacky hairstyles or hair colors. For a knight this loyal, this design actually suits him. Which is sad because that means he's got a generic personality under a generic appearance. I still do like him though. I am admittedly fairly easy-going when it comes to characters and tend to not think about them too much. So yeah you'll find there's very few characters I dislike and even fewer that I have neutral feelings for.

For a minor character, Levail is a solid character :) About that generic, In my opinion Aran is the most 'generic' soldier and character even seen. And I like him for that

It's sad that her character was kind of ruined in this game outside of these, and that she kind of sucks in gameplay now. She has boss conversations all the way up to E-4.

Haar assuring Levail that he *will* die for Zelgius has to be the hardest (lol) thing in the entire game.

Perhaps what should have happened is that if he survives the battle (maybe if Micaiah or Sanaki talks to him first) then he joins you for the rest of the tower. Once Zelgius dies he has no reason to fight anymore, and it would make sense that Zelgius' only order was for him to distract your team long enough for Ike and Zelgius to finish their dual, and then after that to follow and protect Micaiah. They could make it an NG+ requirement if they wanted. Keep Zelgius dying but let you recruit Levail as his "replacement" basically. The same thing happens with Gareth and Nasir if you spare them in the third floor of the tower. Though sparing Levail is way easier, so it should be that you have to at least talk to him with Micaiah or Sanaki to get him to join. If the game gets remade or even remastered though I'd like the NG+ requirements to be dropped and just have these available on the first run.

Levail... He's quite a familiar type of a guy yet sadly, he had to fight the strong ones except some parts he would not draw his weapon to the defenseless Herons from the Serenes Forest which may broke his Code of Chivalry & it was Honorable maybe almost Kind for the fact. He did serve loyally for Zelgius the Black Knight so something about him was... interesting. He also cannot do that to Micaiah & Sanaki as well which was under orders not to & gives respect for it. Oh yes! What's more Cool that he has the fight against Haar as his equal rival to show who's stronger which gives him a meaning to fight. "Either different or similar from the Sable Knight Camus's Archetype, I wish there's something more to him in the story but in the gameplay, nothing looking more than a generic cavalry & the generic personality wise yet respectable. I like the way they integrated the name entry and difficulty selection into the prologue. That was cool. The part where Shiho... you know... is easily the "here's what you're in for" point of the game to me. The rest of the game rarely gets THAT dark but that moment alone makes P5 one of the few Persona games where I fully agree with the M rating.

I never get to see Levail's convos because I usually just kill him with Meteor on turn 1. Poor guy. I should probably fight him proper my next playthrough, obviously with Nihil because his skillset is pretty bullshit.

If you plan your damage right you can get around Resolve, and fighting him from range means no Impale. He's also vulnerable to mastery skills. I generally don't find him that bad, you just need to beware of Resolve.

Well I will give Levail one thing the master has decided to to follow is less evil or corrupt that most members of the Camus Archetype, he is still siding with an antagonist who is challenging somebody to a duel instead of actually helping to take down Ashera which sort of stops me giving him any more praise for his better choice in Master. Also he appears to be less of his own independent villain and is more defined as the 2nd in command off Zelgius. At least the other member of the Camus Archetype were more defined characters and were more independent from their masters. I wonder who will represent the Archetype in Three Houses. Considering we know little about the story it could be somebody we have not seen before. Although considering that some of the Houses have characters who are not the House Leaders who cannot be recruited I think they might end up serving that role. I would assume that the one for the Black Eagles might be Hubert, the Blue Lions being Deudue and for the Golden Deer I think it might be Hilda, nobody has been shown to try and recruit her yet so she might be Golden Deer exclusive.

Interestingly 3H seems to be defying a few FE archetypes in terms of playable characters, there isn't an obvious Cain and Abel right now (Sylvain, maybe?) or a clear Jagen. Though from footage we've seen, it seems likely that Cyril will be a "trainee" character. I hope he looks badass after the time skip. ...I'm really hoping Hilda isn't Golden Deer exclusive. She's the character I'm possibly considering S Supporting with Byleth right now. But all signs point to it. Thing is I don't want to go Golden Deer just for her, as I don't like anyone else in her house.

BigKlingy I had actually sort of low key forgotten that S Supports have been confirmed to be in the game so I have not decided to whom I am marrying my Byleth too. Although I do have some ideas like Mercedes for Blue Lions, maybe Ingrid but it depends on how much the game tries to ship her with someone like Dimitri and I am sort of neutral on Annette, for the Black Eagles Dorothea is the one shouting the most at me right now, Edelgard would be a bit unoriginal, Bernidetta is a bit too timid right now for my liking and I do not know enough about Petra to consider her. As for the Golden Deer I would agree with Hilda although I want to see where Marianne goes before taking her out of the race. I would sort of agree about the Golden Deer, I do not hate them or dislike them or anything but there are less characters I really want to see more off pulling me there compared to the Blue Lions or the Black Eagles. While for the Blue Lions I am interested in seeing what all but Annette are like and for the Black Eagles I am interested in about 2/3rds of their ranks. I wonder as too whenever or not some of the faculty are able to be S Supported. Well we do not know if any of them are even recruitable yet even though they appears to have classes and everything.

Right now I have no major plans for S Supports except that I might ship Ingrid with one of her childhood friends. Since, from what we can tell now, you won't miss content for not doing them, depending on how things go I may not S Support Byleth at all. I'm just going to see supports before I decide on anything. Golden Deer do feel like they might have a unique gameplay style compared to the other houses though. Playing an FE army that's mostly made of Archers sounds like it could be interesting. I'm really, REALLY hoping the faculty aren't Bylethsexuals.

He ranks somewhere below, well honestly all of them, (ie, the rest are more Camus stupid than him), except maybe percival from FE6. I played awakening first, and he reminds me of the soilder from ch.11. the one who doesnt want to fight at first but does anyway, due to loyalty to Mustafa

Percival looks like one but he's recruitable so he doesn't count. I'd say Eldigan is the stupidest but his stupidity has in-story consequences so he doesn't really count. Birthright Xander would be behind him, I guess. I'm mostly okay with Levail, except that he thinks Zelgius is a perfect example of knighthood. Granted, Levail probably doesn't know he tracked down and killed his old teacher purely because he wanted a good fight.

3:10 Is this my favourite Haar line? Maybe, though his boss conversation in 2-P is amazing too. ("I could never decide if you were more greedy or more corrupt. Stupid was never in the question though.") Levail also has a much bigger role during Part 3 in the Japanese-exclusive Hard Script. It goes into a bit more of how the Begnion nobles' armies function, how the chain of command works and a bit of how he joined. So that's interesting.

He's preeeetty dumb. They wrote out all this dialogue for a dumb boss, yet they couldn't give Micaiah a bit more personality? Anywho, been playing Xenoblade 2, having a great time. Just got done with the Abandoned Factory in Mor Ardain. Tora is rapidly becoming one of my favorite comic relief characters ever: good in a fight, genuinely cute, good motivation to keep adventuring, develops from a silly perv into a proper hero, pretty endearing, he's great :) Also, I finally realized that using a Chain Attack makes you invincible for the duration! SCREW YOU MIKHAIL, YOUR STELLAR EXPLOSION CAN SUCK IT, haha!

Imo Tora doesn't quite match up to Riki, but he's a billion times better than Tatsu. Then again, that's not hard. I'm just glad they made the Nopon party member playable again. Also, Poppi is INSANE with the right setup, though that requires a lot of Tiger Tiger grinding. I remember abusing Chain Attack invincibility quite a bit. It's practically required for the final boss if I'm remembering right.

BigKlingy I get the inkling that most people would bench Tora in favor of newer party members, but I’m only midway through the game and Poppi is already super badass. Having a part that gives +40% damage for the first 60 seconds of battle is meh for bosses but SUPER for normal enemies. I actually like Tiger Tiger, though I imagine it’s something that would grate on a lot of people.

Honestly I found Poppi didn't really get outclassed by later party members even though others said she did. She's a basic def and HP tank, while later characters are evasion tanks. And often you NEED a straight tank. Tora + Attacker + Healer is a combination that can get you through most fights. The main thing that lets him down is being unable to use other Core Crystal Blades. (I almost called them Sub-Personas for a second, lol) I found going for perfect runs in Tiger Tiger addictive. It's one of the better-designed "retro-style minigames" I've seen in a game.
