Damn, man. My main takeaway from this isn't about Miranda, but about dialogue as a whole -- the power of specific wording can grant so much more depth than meets the eye. With the right words, even a character with little to say can have a lot said about them, and the devil in the details can grant a lot of depth to what would otherwise border on being a background character.

This makes her lines in Heroes almost infuriating to listen to. It hurts since I've summoned like 8 of her in the past 72 hours and briefly considered using her. But goddamn, Heroes completely takes this interpretation and completely incinerates it. Magnificent work as always, please do this for other under-appreciated characters in the series.

a character can be interpreted many ways. theirs is no more right than mine. all u can do is try to use evidence to support your interpretation and develop it. but u can imagine my chagrin in the middle of making this video the feh banner drops and I hear "I AM MIRADA THE PRINCESS OF ULSTER!"

in all fairness, her summoning quote is "Where am I? What is this place? I am Miranda of Ulster. State your name, you rude creature!" no mention of being a princess. It's when she's a friend's lead unit and visits your barracks that she uses the term "princess", she could be using it so her summoner could get more credits, as she is not selfish or imbued of herself.

People tend to undermine the writing of Judgral games just because they don't have supports and shiz. What they achieve with what little dialogue and resources they have is so damn impressive and sums up why I love these games. (of course I never use miranda because a-route ftw)

Facts. Obiously the support mechanic is good in that it allows the characters to get more dialogue and interactions but if characters don’t have story expositions and have barely any involvement in the story then that character won’t feel as nearly as impactful. All of the kaga games do a really good job at this, with the peak being in tear ring saga

If I had agency over a Thracia 776 remake I would make Leif's Ending Dialogue with Miranda be changed if Nanna is dead, with him putting less of a focus on the remaining responsibility and more on his hesitance to step into a relationship that committal/important, as to hint at an inability to move on.

Well I'm way late on viewing this video, but it reminded me of something. In the novelization of Thracia 776, the author says his favorite character in the game is Miranda. He thus gives her a lot more characterization than she gets in the game itself. I don't remember a lot of the details other than some scenes when she and Leif were kids, but it might be worth checking out for Miranda fans.
