Ah man, what a pleasant surprise, to see a Fire Emblem remix from you - this is awesome! I'll admit, when I saw Freddie on the thumbnail, I thought it was an Awakening remix, but this is a spectacular and timeless pick! The combination of different chipsynth elements here really works, and I like how you pulled from different retro hardware sound styles to create this eclectic blend of tonal and percussive parts! The leads sound rich and beautiful, and they perfectly capture the majesty of this iconic melody. I especially like the way it sounds in that lower octave at the start of the loop. And my goodness, the harmonies here are so warm and they legit gave me goosebumps while listening. I love the bass, too, with that deep body and those growly overtones - it's such a great pick, and it can easily be heard on any system, including the laptop speakers I'm listening on currently. And dude, the percussive elements here are so good! The chip kick has a nice, robust sound that perfectly drives the beat, and the snare articulations and rhythms are tight. The rolls are especially cool, as well! I'm a sucker for military-march styled drum patterns in VGM, and this beat you've created here gets me really pumped! In terms of video presentation, I like the character you've chosen to represent this piece - Frederick definitely embodies the noble and earnest spirit that many characters in the franchise's history have been known for. I'm a big fan of him, as well, and I find his interactions with Chrom so endearing. And the color gradient in the frequency peak reactor is a nice touch, as well! Once again, excellent work, Star Haven! 🌟

Thank you so much for such a thoughtful response! I’ve been working hard on balance and ensuring what I want comes out clear even on older tech or ones with less audio quality. It’s a shame that this remix is likely my worst performing one, which surprises me with how popular Fire Emblem is. I bit the bullet and bought the Adobe suite and it’s been worth every penny. Premiere pro and after affects just make video editing so nice, and after effects has audio visualizer tools. I’m still getting used to the software, but it really shows what a professional level equipment can do. Thank you again for the kind words, they mean the world to me!
