My opinion: Blue Lions: Best units. Emotional route Golden Deer: Easygoing and fun loving. Black Eagles: Love this route but also lots of questionable moral decisions. Also a bit emotional. Resistance route: Good enough and satisfying ending.

They all have unique, and slightly extreme story telling. You really can't go wrong. Besides, the first half of the game is nearly identical for all 3 houses, except which units you have. You're missing out by not simply playing!

@@nyx_3210 That's because "Those who slither in the Dark" was a Golden Deer centric plotline. Black Eagles and Blue lions have other plotlines involving the war between Empire and Church. Plus, Blue lions have the most relevant cast during the first half of the game.

I went Edelgard. Yeah I know it's the least original choice, but DAMN they make it so obvious in her route that she's in love with Byleth, even outside of supports it's obvious and she seems to still be in love with him even in other routes. Not romancing her in the one route where you actually can romance her just felt wrong. Plus her supports with Byleth are actually really good.

Honestly I've been looking desperately for a new rpg game to play and i took a major chance with this being that it's my first FE game and i must say. I have never been so connected to any other rpg (besides probably zelda, even though they're different types of rpgs) as i did this game. David Chiao well the reason why I put the church as Slytherin is because I think they are more sketchy than Edelgard. For instance and of course SPOILERS AHEAD 1.Rhea put the populace in danger by creating beasts and unleashing them only to further the faith in the church by them saving. Yet she show’s no remorse. 2. A very similar act of this is how she burnt down Dmitri’s kingdom and then proceeded to have her own troops retreat while abandoning his army and civilians during battle. 3. The church also had history changed to suite their ideology, such as the origins of crests, relics and the Ten Elites 4. Also she kind of attempted to murder the MC by hoping to destroy his/her soul for Sothis (aka the Goddess since the MC is a vessel)

David Chiao I did that for my first play and then did Edelgard. Edelgard’s side reveals all shows the twisted sides of the church while we only get a sprinkle of it in the Golden deer route with them confiscating information on the Immaculate One

For example SPOILER ALERT: Rhea actually save the MC since he/she was going to be born dead so the only way to save him/her was by making them the new vessel. Plus it was an act to be together with her mother again in some type of way.

Protip. Make all fast melee class characters max out brigand XP. Death blow is a must have. Have all slow characters max out Pegasus knight XP for darting blow.

As someone who started on Fire emblem Fates and I've played shadows of valentina and I feel like this game has the most replayability. Each class has it's own paralogs and unique characters you have to experience them all

What a surprise to see you review this! I felt exactly like what you said in the video where you couldn't imagine being more attached to other characters in the other classes. Beat the game with the Blue Lions and I loved that group of characters and did not recruit anyone. Currently playing through Golden Deer and damn I actually ended up falling in love with these guys just as much! 111 hours in and I have no plans on stopping until I do all 4 routes. Ayy any Caspar + Hilda fans out there?

Idk if into the breach counts coz it's more rouge turn base strategy game and when things are randomly generated there always certain level of bullshit involved. Great game though.
