woohoo, was in the mood to put on something sailing related while I work and saw you'd dropped a new episode

Great job getting all around the lagoon in one dark night! Be sure to check out the secret mission from Oasis, it's one of my favourite additions to the game and should make for a fun finale. Also a good way to get a new character some starting capital. New elven sanbuq sail layout is looking amazing, if a little brave. Keep in mind that each of your new sails is about twice the size of the gaffs you were using before. Handle with care, and enjoy the huge increase in power! You might want to do another test drive a bit further offshore and see how she handles stronger winds and waves before you make for Al Ankh. It's going to be a fun crossing, that's for sure! Candles and oil are expensive because you pay ~2500 Dragons to refill 15 lanterns that cost ~400 Dragons to buy each. Pretty much a lifetime supply. You save money in the long run and can reuse your regional lanterns of choice for many, many ocean crossings. It's still a lot cheaper just to carry a single spare lantern if you only use one or two at a time, especially when you aren't rich yet, because you're better off spending 2100 more on trade goods.

Careful whit the drinks good Sir! We dont want you drowning on dry land. Ive had this one AI Sloop beached on Sunspire, and is partly in the "lake" area..... A Local landmark of sorts since I cannot do anything to help the poor bastard.

I personally love my little Chinese ship but for personal reasons I would not advise starting in the emerald archipelago is the weather it loves to rain not just rain like squalling rain and if you're not ready for that you're going to be at the bottom of the ocean very fast
@bpw102896Ай бұрын
Also I was worried that I was the only one who was throwing was kind of broken it seems to only do it when you're trying to throw things out of the ship for some reason there's like a weird invisible Wall that fucks up your throw
@couplingrhinoАй бұрын
@@bpw102896 The invisible wall effect is a bit janky but nothing new. If you hold things so they stick out over the side of the boat you can throw them onto the dock. The effect does stop your cargo falling overboard, so you could argue it's a feature. I'm not a fan, but have learned to live with it by now.

The storms in Emerald are at least predictable and usually not too violent. The storms in Al Ankh are rare, but extremely vicious.
