Not sure ifits the same with Royal Caribbean but if one person in the room buys a drinks package, the all adults in the same room must also get the same drinks package. I'd say definitely not worth it if your wife is allergic to alcohol.

Drink package a no from me. Sounds great at face value and every time you see a bar you get a drink. But after 7 days I was sick as a dog so would suggest just pay per drink

Hi Stu. I have done Royal Carribean and I would say dont bother to get an alcohol package. You really need to be drinking constantly to make it worth while and what is the point of that. You would miss everything. Cruising is awesome. When I met you I had taken the kids to cruise out of Brissy on Quantum. They loved it. Your wife will love it. Take care 🎉🎉🎉🎉

Alcohol package very expensive and non_Alcohol package .. A 4 day good for starters CRIUSES ARE EXPENSIVE. THERE ARE HIDDEN COSTS ... NOT TO MENTION INCONSIDERATE PASSENGERS 😮😮😮 BUT it's a good way to travel just got too EXPENSIVE 😮

I wouldn’t bother. On our cruise we didn’t and found we didn’t drink enough to warrant a package. Check before you book but when we got on with Royal Caribbean they dealt in US dollars and we lost in the conversion. Hopefully as you stay in Aussie waters it will be AUS$.

I think I would rather get a flight to Cairns grab a hotel room, have a look around up there at rainforest walks, there used to be a train up there, not the one that goes to Cairns central but in the bush, I used to work for ibis in 08, there partner seascape does rides out to the island's if you want that , something to think about

Only 4 days, I personally don’t think you needed it. Just order what you like to drink at meals time. Mostly if you are out on excursions when the ship docked, you can walk outside and there are many local clubs or pubs, you can stop there for drinks, much cheaper and also you can support locals business, look at views of the areas and relax a bit, and if not far you can walk back or hire a taxi or Uber if it’s a bit far to walk.

Weigh up what comes with the drinks package. Generally they are a good idea because you are not having to worry about onboard spend - particularly if you like a tipple. Don't know RC - but every cruise is what YOU make it.

That is correct. We would enjoy it even without alcohol because my wife is allergic to it. So probably won't get alcohol, just soft drinks and coffee.

If you're not going to be doing a big amount of drinking i wouldn't bother with the package really but thats just me depends how much a standard drink is and how much you think you'll be drinking it might be worth it but i doubt you will drink all 4 day's

Despite what you on the odd Saturday night at the lions, I rarely drink at all. So probably won't bother getting it.
