Criminally underrated, drops two absolutely fire verses and doesn't miss a beat. Best MC im the UK IMO, real rap no bullshit or pretense just straight honest bars.

Charlie Sloth knows when the artist is nervous on their first time, doesn't hype as much and just keeps them gassed with positively. I rate that, keeps them grounded
@danielspeight95895 жыл бұрын
agreed! there was a different temperament with Sloth. You could see he was really encouraging with the look he gave.

I wasn't here to make friends, That's why I don't have many of 'em , Or why I never trust a bredduh who's got plenty of 'em, I step steady, ever ready, never beggin' off 'em, Stop for a whiskey on the rocks and a cherry blossom. They've forgotten Iv'e been rotten from the start, Seen a lot of shit that's had me stopping in a heart, So I block until I bark, like the, Dance of the coppa in the park, With the robber who's been dodging for a laugh. I've been wandering the dark, Starred like the Bulletin off ARK, Looking for profit and promise in a heart, So I chop it up in half, Half what I'm chopping up in half till I've forgotten what I promised from the start, This a laugh, Gone too fast, Got me sittin' on my arse tryna make this last, I wasn't thinking 'bout my past when I sprayed these bars, I'll be thinking 'bout my marge when I raise this glass. Cos truss, I'm tryna figure out, Uh, What all this shit about, The same word, in and out, just a different mouth, Bounce, Never catch me down for the shit in South, Act like a dog, Imma dig it out. Wish I bought a bigger house, Ben, Well then again, Everybody wanna talk about the money that I spend, Next to nuffin' should be talk 'bout the money that I lend to my, Friends and my cousins who've been buzzin' round then bend, Say there's nuttin' to pretend, Enemies be coming like they're friends, Same ones who say there's nothing to defend, So we blend, Spray a little something outta pen, And them saying "I don't want it in the ends", Tell 'em this isn't the ends. Uh, It's where I rest my head, Days get weary and the stress gets dead, So I, Pour a bath and I stretch my legs, Then I pour another glass just to get my zeds. No re- spect for a brother you ain't left with a brother, Stressed tryna earn another cheque for their mother, Nothing left to discover. City where the best die young, And the sun's don't set for the covers. Seen the best of 'em suffer in a city full of heartbreak, Thugs dabbling with drugs till their heart shakes, Something you can't 'scape, Prison and the past days, Chicks treat my dons like, Dogs by the park gate. It's passed 8, Half past late, I ain't ready for some dark shade to pass our plate, We're gettin' old. And all this fucking gun talk already gettin' sold, But my tails ain't ready to be told, So I scribble of the scrolls of the basement, Songs outta placement, Bar for the Cantona, Post or adjacent, We chase them, Knowin' there ain't nuttin' to replace them, We spoke and I froze in amazement, I say it like. Uh, This is just some shit that you can listen to, If you were sitting, wishing you was just a different dude, Uh, Pour another whiskey in the living room, And reminisce them old times, Cos trust me I miss 'em too. Cos in the interviews they're saying shit they don't mean, And now my little brother's talking 'bout that Codeine, It's unsurprising I ain't rising to the smoke screen, But I ain't got no time to be glamourizing them coke fiends, I know G's, OD'd, Duckin' for cover in the low leaf, Rolled trees, Runnin' from the police, Brothers with gold teeth, Gunners on the known steez, Sold cheese, Chuckin' out of luck until their bones freeze. I know these, They know me, But we ain't runnin' like we're Coldies, I never say wassup or nuffin', no need. I got my own stees, Fam, I keep it so clean, Me, I don't know nuffin' 'bout no OZ's. //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// June 27 2005, I put the CD in the whip and told my mother to drive. Uh, We get to dippin'. And we up in the vibes, I'm bumping home sweet home, way ahead of its time, You'll catch me listening to Cano and K- Lash from way back. Scribbling, you catch me tryna make my days back, When everybody else was spittin' on the same track, I tell 'em not to worry where my phase at, Cos money, yh, I've made that. Uh, Don't talk about it, They don't doubt it, You can see that I've been set from my surrounding, Staying grounded, Gettin' tough, I've had enough, It keeps me boucin'. Tyna figure how to move the mountain, Fuck the water from the fountains. Uh, Cos mines a Guiness, I tell a rapper shut his mouth and mind his business, Everybody wanna talk until the fire gets diminished, Pen another lyrics and they're finished, Been a man since school dinners, Never hopscotch, Top binners, Wasn't tryna make it out or make the spinners, We was tryna be the winners. Everybody chasin' up them figures, I was channellin' the fire that was in us, Never runnin' with them sinners. I ain't got nothin' but truth, Uh, Nuttin' to lose but got somethin' to prove, I got a, Mother and brother who were crumblin' too, If they saw me gettin' in trouble with them troublesome yutes, And so I, Stayed on the same path and now I got his album out, Talk about the same shit the brothers used to shout about. I drive pasted, watch 'em shotting in the roundabout, And so I tell a story just to drown 'em out, Cos check it look. I knew this don and all he wanted was to know the bits, And to be known by older shoulders who were holding clips, And holding fifths, Finger flicking as they pose for pics, Broken in six until he's missing with this older chick, Uh, I know this little breddah was steady, See he started liking trouble, Right in the rumblin' belly, Now he's ready, Movin' messy, Cash like confetti, Acting stressy, Knew he's deadly, Weight with which he left me, it was heavy, Uh, And I was frontin' alot, A lot of lyin', Tryna be somethin' I'm not, Stuck in a spot, With a brother shot, Puffin' a pot, Nothin'll stop, Til they bun, get stuck and they rot, Now I'm kno- knocking the knowledge, All I knew was, I wanted a bit, Shit, little luck I ended up with a scholarship quick, Sick, Move and miss, Jigger's abolished his grip, Whipped on my lips, As I dipped from this rotten abyss. Shit, A brown brother at a public school, Uh, Callin' me coloured but never colourful, Shit, So tell another if you're under all, Chase this, Oasis, Over the Wonderwall ////////////////////////////////////// You're welcome :)

as an american kid, i was 14-16 when i found Loyle (i'm 23 now) he put me on to Nas, and helped really give me a deeper understanding on what rap could be, it was beyond beautiful, found him through an Apple shot on iPhone ad and ended up going down a rabbithole of great rap because of him, He's so fucking humble, I was 16 in the system, struggling and trying to survive, when I commented on his post on my birthday, and he showed me love and gave me hope for real, told me to keep my head up and shit would change, he was right, all love brotha thank you for inspiring the youth and the rap game.
