Thanks for the great review. I am interested in this tablet but had a fire tablet a few years ago and just did not find enough apps from the amazon store. I must say the ability to install apk's has definitely improved. Thanks again.

Truly appreciate this review. Thank you so much! One concern I have is that I cannot download videos off the internet (not streaming services like Netflix etc) like I could with the original tablet from Amazon. Have you had this trouble? Thank you.

Just watched the video on my 2012 Kindle Fire HD 7 (Tate). Seems decent tablet the new 11 inches model. Personally Amazon tablet devices are good for reliability in my own experience. More reliable than Apple and Android tablets I find.

I know what you mean, quality is pretty good and they are quite reliable. I gifted my two nephews Fire 8 tablets last year and somehow they are still in one piece and working fine.

It can play 1080p 60fps just fine. It can play up to 1440p 60fps. I know this because I am using the Fire Max 11 right now.

You could probably put a 1.5TB MicroSD card into it. I have an old machine which said to support only 32GB of SD card storage, recognised a 512GB card.

And all mention of Dolby ATMOS has been removed from the Amazon listing page. But the retail box still has the Dolby ATMOS logo. I think Amazon launched the tablet without the ATMOS software to make it work. Hopefully a firmware update will activate it in the future.

Is the Wifi range any good? I use tablets in my summerhouse at bottom of garden (30m), my current Android tablet struggles with the range and we have a mesh set up.
