I have an LG C2 OLED TV and I was using a Samsung T550 sound bar 2.1 channel and it doesn't have ATMOS. I bought a Samsung Q600A soundbar 3.1.2 with ATMOS. Later I realized that ATMOS support and content are almost not available. And then what I realized is that my T550 sound bar supports DTS and connected it to another Sony TV with DTS codec support, omg the surround is awesome and it by default sends all the audio signals in DTS format. So, I learned the lesson and figured out that ATMOS is simply hyped.

Hi, Confused between Chromecast and Fire stick 4k max for Atmos. Amazon has been not very transparent about it and I think the atmos support (and other niche features like DV as well) might no longer be supported/available by OTT providers once newer Fire stick models start coming with Vega OS with all focus and monetization in that route. Leaning towards Chromecast with remote (although it's hardware is slightly outdated), but might be free from these unscrupulous stuff. What are your views?

App jab koi v content Netflix par dekhte ho to other pe click krke check kro ki sound souce atmos wala selected hai yah nhi. Kavi kavi hame wo chiz manually select krna padta hai. Agar dolby atmos selected hai then chinta ki koi baat nhi soundbar me atmos hi chal raha hai. Apka sound bar dolby atmos ko dolby surround dikha raha hai

Fire tv 4k is running on fire os ver-6. but fire tv 4k max and fire tv cube running on fire os ver-7. unfortunately netflix is not broadcasting atmos on fire os 6 but on fire os 7 atmos contant is available.

I am using VU 55 inch 4k tv but it seems does not support Dolby Atmos, option is only for dolby digital plus. Soundbar is Samsung which supports Dolby Atmos feature. I am also using FireTV stick with soundbar to passthrough atmos content. But, it doesn't show Atmos content for Prime video as well as netflix. So should the TV also support Dolby Atmos feature?

Yes tv need to have Atmos support. Also plz dont use firestick 4k. It has several atmos detection issues. Only use Firestick 4k max
