This is one of the great benefits of todays online media. Before all this, you just have to go off of someones word but now a dude can afford to run this test and then post the results online for the world to see what the truth about the subject is. its a weird world but a good one

I am impressed with the dedication you put into the tests and efforts to record. I don't know if you thought it would get so involved or not but just how you used your tables to make complete perfect situations to a human doing this. If you were hiring someone to do this kind of grinding on say a project and you wanted them doing the work properly, your test equipment would show the human how you require stuff done. Expensive for absolute sure but your aware of stuff like this already..... great video, a ten out of ten!

Good thing a viewer sent that grease for the grinders, it's not something you'd otherwise find in any workshop of a decent size :-D

I have run a belt sander for the last 15 years of my life and I've used sandpaper for the last 30 years of my life. I figured pretty much all sandpapers the same. It wears out quick. It clogs up quick. I recently got a ceramic belt for my belt sander + the minute I touched a piece of steel to it. I realized that I was completely wrong! I will now only buy ceramic. Aluminum oxide and ceramic sandpaper are not even remotely comparable. That ceramic belt can eat through a 1-in bar of steel about as quick as an aluminum oxide belt can eat through pine. It took me 29 years to figure it out but I'm sure this translates into flap discs as well.

Many of the young engineers I see have very little fabrication experience,I hope channels like yours encourage them to get more hands on. I love the way you make the test rig to measure the critical specification of interest. Its an education seeing how your rig is designed, constructed and tested itself. Real Science. Excellent work.

Damn, now I want to know this about fibre grinding disks/pads The ones my company buys go blunt fairly quick, they are still fine to grind most stuff, but struggle at the final mm when grinding perfectly flush to go to powdercoating. I bought a couple of 982c cubitrons and they are great, but 6 times more expensive so no way I'm convincing the boss to buy them

Ohhhh mannn what a treat 😁, and what an eye opening series of tests!! I have long wondered what and how these companies test their products and label them “ the best on the market “ because it seems like they all do it but of course they can’t all be the best lol 😆 I gotta tell you Jason , your products and channel and the tests you do are for real second to none 👌👌I could watch your videos 24/7 lol
