The fact that a demon class Warlock is the best class against Demon Hunter is so weird.

It's design flaw, they didn't realize how good sacrificial pact would be against DH, that card was released to target his own minions as no other class specialized on demons back then. Now anytime DH gets too powerful, Warlocks will always be there to farm them. It's the only class with direct counter in every meta. Arguably Priest counters Hunter but not really since Priest has no "Kill a beast" cards. I would honestly nerf Sac Pact to target friendly minions only, not for this meta but for every meta to come. Yes targeting Jaraxxus was fun, but also frustrating as nobody would choose Jaraxxus from Zephrys or in the deck as long as opponents Zephrys offered Sac Pact as counter. It's unnecessary limitation that shouldn't be in the game imo.

@@Laireso are you stupid? Sac pact was literally the design stabilizer in the meta, even priest has demons (plus the 2/4 doubling dmg demon people in high legend are running) and that's on purpose. Meta is better than ever right now, lock has such a high winrate in low ranks cause people don't know how to play against it, but there's so many viable archetypes right now it'ss sad to still see people complain

Sac pact wasn't designed as hard removal, it was suppost to be used on their own demons as form of healing that fits identity of Warlock. That's why it's so broken now that it's 0 mana hard removal and heals you for 5, and even if there were some decks not running demons, you can just use it on your 1/1 tokens which is still decent for 0 mana card and probably would still be played even if you couldn't just win the game by killing that Priestess of Fury, Hulking Overfiend, Jaraxxus for 0 mana. It's extreme highroll situation that ends up with one side winning the game while the other had no way to play around it, except go play different class that doesn't run demons...

@@Laireso um no, it IS hard removal against a preopotent tribe. They took in account not only lock but also highlander decks... We've had crabs serving as stabilizers for other tribes since Hearthstone's beginning... It's just obvious that most people forgot or don't know. We don't need every class to have access to counter removal, if it exists it balances the meta by itself, that's why we've got tiers countering tiers. I hate people thinking they are smarter than the whole hs team, especially this team that has been so quick and effective at balancing the meta

Highlander cards should only work in decks that were Highlander at the start of a match. The fact you can just put in 2 extremely OP cards only to serve as your finishers without at all being restricted by the highlander feels like cheating the system to me.

@@feelingnether158 You aren't restricted from playing them early. You can play Zeprhys on turn 2 and it's still good tempo. Almost every deck that has tools to get into late game has at least Zephrys, greedier or more successful control decks also run Alex. What's the point of playing Highlander if you get same value as your opponent in the end...? In control deck you don't need to play your Zephrys or Alex early. You have more than enough tools to clear boards and with lifetap and That 4 mana "draw 3 cards" you never run out of them even if you clear every 2 turns, there are like 7 boardclears in Galakrond Warlock and similar amount in Control Galakrond Priest. Not to mention hard removals which both decks posses at least 3-4. With Highlander you rarely need to play your Zephrys early. It's better to save it for better value in the late game with Tirion or Twisting Nether than for Holy Nova or something that gives you Animal Companion... and Alex you can play only on turn 8-9, at which point as Warlock you already drew at least 15-20 cards, so you are very close to having it active without waiting too long anyway. It just feels wrong using those cards this way.

Like Warlock has 25 cards in the deck focused on controlling the board and only those 5 cards give him win condition only thanks to Highlander cards being so strong. Why play cards like Elysiana when you can play Alex? There is literally no benefit and same can be said about almost all other high cost cards. You can play Alex sooner and with immediate impact on the game. Why play any other late-game finisher...

Crazed Netherwing leaves 3 mana and nothing to do with it, and is perfectly fine later. Dark Skies is a 3-mana full clear now that leaves enough mana to still put 4/4 worth of stats on the board, without taking 3.

Veiled Worshipper should cost 5 mana. Like almost every other "if you invoked twice" got nerfed for being too powerful but Warlock didn't. Everyone complains about Skull of Guldan for 6 drawing 3 and discount of 9, so you gain 3 mana and 3 cards. Well THIS costs 4 mana and draws 3 cards and gives you 5/4 which is worth at least 7 mana discount AND you get the tempo unlike Skull of Guldan most of the time. I don't know about you but I'd rather have 5/4 on board that can actually do something and because it's cheap you can play many things along side it. You can't beat this deck with aggro, because plague of flames, sac pact, dark skies. And you can barely win the late game if you have healing after first Alex because if you don't you lose to the burst Warlock has... and even if you are prepared for that, there are still bullshit Dragonqueen alex and Zephrys generated win conditions, it's such a gross deck. You aren't even Highlander and you can run both of the Highlander cards because of how many fucking control tools the class has it's ridiculous.

@Wizard Of Doom Look at the winrates before you say such stupidity. Warlock was 65,5%, as top tier 1 deck last time I checked and Priest and DH were barely tier 2 with number of awful matchups.

@Wizard Of Doom I just checked again to make sure. Yeah it has 2nd highest Winrate when drawn at 64% WR. The only card that has higher drawn WR is the Galakrond himself and shortly after all the other Galakrond cards at +60% WR. All other cards are measly 50-59%. This clearly proves that as long as you draw 4 mana 5/4 draw 3 cards you on average have 64% chance to win the game, that needs a nerf which would put all the other cards in Galakrond package back in line of under 60% WR, which is where they should have been in the first place, like most other tier 2 decks. Another classes need nerfs too, but Warlock should be their primal concern. Maybe nerf the Battlefiend in DH to 1/2, then something in Big Druid, like the Breath of Dreams to 3 mana, that card has insane some are of like 67% WR in itself. Secret Rogue should get nerfed the 1/2 minion with targetable freezing trap to 2 mana instead of 1, the effect is too powerful on 1 mana minion. Also the Rogue legendary giving secrets should have 1/4 stats, no idea why it has 1/5 with such game winning effect in both early game as turn 2 play or in late game when it casts almost guaranteed 4-5 secrets. At least Rogue has no healing and lacks big board clears but it's still OP package they got in the expansion compared to most other classes.

Oh and lastly make Sacrificial Pact only target friendly minions. There is no reason why it should target opponents stuff, it's only fair to make 0 mana card that heals 5 not have the ability to serve as hard removal. It will hurt the game in the long run and it already hurt the game in Zephrys choices as Jaraxxus is never picked because Sac Pact can instantly kill you and Zephrys will always offer it.

@@Laireso Disagree, Sac Pact would literally never be run if it targetted friendly minions only. Why would you run a card that says "destroy a friendly demon, restore 5 health to your hero". Iron hide was an awful card at 1 mana gain 5 armor. I would rather spend 1 mana than destroy my own minion and armor is better than health. Sac pact is only good now because FINALLY other classes run demons. It's still extremely selective removal and no worse than any 'crab' hate card. It'll go back to never being played once demons aren't the meta. It's extremely conditional and the first time since HS's conception that it's actually seen any serious play. Removing the Jaraxxus interaction, I can agree with.

@@yoho6104 Yes in current meta it would, because A) Galakrond Warlock needs more healing than just the Breath of whatever it's called and B) Galakrond Warlock has shit ton of tokens to sacrifice, like literally shit ton just from the invokes and then from Galakrond himself. And BTW it's not conditional if it counters entire class. Crab doesn't counter all Shamans because not all Shamans run Murlocs, same for Warrior not all Warriors run Pirates... But ALL Demon Hunters run demons and will run them as long as they exist, because it's just their class identity. That's why the card needs nerf for the future of the game.
