I purchased a FireBoard 2 Drive from FireBoard. The 1st one I received was defective with dirt between the case and screen. Then instead of the new one I was told would be sent, I received a used one with old firmware and two different serial numbers. The serial # in the firmware didn’t match the one on the unit. It would not pair on Bluetooth. That is either incompetence or dishonesty.

Can the fan run on battery power or does in need AC power ?

Erok BrewMeister it can run on its lithium battery for several hours. Though I haven’t tested how long. For my longer cooks I leave it plugged in just in case.

It can run on its internal battery, ac power or a battery power bank.
