Were you fired without cause? Did you lose your job after returning from (or during) sick or maternity leave? If so, you should consider filing a complaint with the Canadian Human Rights Commission. The Canadian Human Rights Act protects you from being treated unfairly for reasons such as race, age or disability. These reasons are known as grounds of discrimination (www.chrc-ccdp.gc.ca/eng/conten.... Canadian employers and service providers cannot discriminate against you for any of these reasons.
