Thanks for this content man! I’m a new volunteer at a small department in a mountain community in Colorado, and this helped me a lot!

We set our general communication channel (non fire incidents, units to dispatch, drills, etc) on channel 1 and our fire operations channel( interior, roof, etc) on channel 16. It simplifies the channel selection button. No counting clicks, just turned all the way one direction or the other.

thats smart

That really is smart. Could even make ems channels just 1 click in or something. For us, we have our main set to 1, ems set to 2 and fire ops (single station response) 3 and ops channels (multi station response for structure fires 4 and up. We have multiple ops channels

Thank you for continuing to put out Training Minutes, they are an incredible resource! I have a question for B.C. Martin. What is your gear keeper attached to?

John, appreciate the feedback. I would suggest contacting Nick on his Instagram, where he is very active.
