But aren't most flammable goods tankers aluminium? What about most 44 gallon drums have ribs in them, and when a drum is damaged to the point of having a hole, then its not exactly round anymore.
@charleskarl41236 жыл бұрын
Peter Welch this is more than anything a way to cover storm drains so when they dump water on a building it doesn't wash toxic chemicals into lakes and rivers but it can also be used to seal small holes in anything the magnet will stick to.

Why is there always a small minded comment such as this on every video that shows some innovation, this product is an option, no where was it said that this is the be all and end all of anything but it is another option that is fast and simple and safe

Completely wrong, any chemical that reacts with metal obviously has to be stored in poly drums. These generally are of the most concern when leaking.

Hazardous should be in steel drums most no hazardous comes in plastic drums so ......where can I purchase them to donate to my local firehouse cause we’re in refining towns on east coast think they would be a great peace for them to have at there disposal
@allenklingsporn69936 жыл бұрын
Bubs Marvel That is absolutely false. Many hazardous materials come in non-bulk plastic barrels and Jerry cans, as well as metal barrels being shipped inside of plastic shippers, and this product wouldn't work for them. It's a cool idea and deserves a good manufacturer, but it does not work in every case.
@jamesluck29696 жыл бұрын
Look at many of the water treatment plants across the Midwest USA, A lot of their Chems come in plastic drums, or are stored in fiberglass tanks.

In refineries they've been using a Rubber mat and a bag of sand for years to cover sewer drains. Its not rocket science, put rubber down. Drop bag of sand on rubber, Walk away.
@towtruckaj6 жыл бұрын
That method would work, But it seems kind of crude to me, This one would be faster to deploy, Probably seal better, And would be more portable because you could just roll it up and store it or apply it a metal surface.
@ecomancer0076 жыл бұрын
Not all drains are made of metal. Rolling up items of that nature usually doesn't return to a flat state after a period of time, Roll up paper. leave it rolled ... unroll it and try to lay it flat. all it wants to do is roll back up. Same thing happens with magnets when coiled
@towtruckaj6 жыл бұрын
I've never seen a non metal drain, Every drain I've ever seen has metal involved, And its a magnet, When they deploy it, If it wants to stay flat or not it will stay flat when attached to metal, And they can still alternatively attach it to a metal wall in a toolbox or something like that.
@joe5816 жыл бұрын
Couldn't it just flow to the next drain

So wha about plastic barrels?
@towtruckaj6 жыл бұрын
For plastic barrels Id assume they already have a separate technique because the jamming wood into the whole and filling it with that puddy looking stuff probably would just expand the whole on a plastic barrel, So they probably already have a different way of solving that, That works well.

So just better hope what ever is leaking is metal. Storm drains, perfect.. otherwise, idk..but I'll give them most of bad chemicals are in steel drums.
