@jimdemers4000 This isn't the fire for what you are advocating. It's very windy and the winds change randomly in different directions. I agree with more means for initial attack. Proactive measures are much better (like addressing climate change before it's too late). I can tell that you are one of the people of whom thought they knew better than climate scientist. It's going to take a much "bigger government" now to be more prepared to fight the plethora of fires we will experience for many years to come. We have to get ahead of the problems and that takes a proactive government, not a reactive conservative government. It costs way more to clean up the mess after the fact and lives are priceless. 90% of Canadian conservatives are against addressing climate change (I hope that changes when they can see with their own eyes) and it has been the opposite for liberals. I'm not trying to make anything political. We are all in this together and we all will fair much better if we take a more proactive approach, because we all will be dealing with fires for a long time.

Interesting how this fire started on tuesday, with no lightning in the area. Stayed small for a few days, and the all knowing weathermen at envrionment canada issued a statement wednesday about the incoming cold front with high winds from the west. So I'm wondering why they didn't hit this small fire with everything they had earlier. Thursday night was obviously too late. And remember folks, everyone has the right to stay and protect their home. If you tell me to evacuate, nope. I'm spraying my house with a garden hose all night if I have to!

Man there are to many fires all across Canada this year. I know climate change is part of the reason why they are starting. The weather systems this year has been ridiculous around the world. I won't claim to know exactly why its like this, I just wish it would stop. So many people have been effected by wildfires this year, and not just in Canada, but in other parts of the world where there haven't been wildfires for hundreds of years. Then the weather is also just out of its mind, if that was possible. It all makes me worried even more about the future if humanity doesn't get with it and everyone start doing they're part and start taking care of the environment. People have this strange belief that the world will come to an end, totally wrong concept!!! The planet has been here for billions of years and will be here for billions more. Humanity has only been here for a very short time in relation to how old earth is. Geological history of the planet proves that when one life form is wiped off the planet, it's usually for good. The planet isn't going anywhere, BUT, there's a really good chance that humanity as it is if we don't get it together and start fixing and cleaning up the mess we've made. The planet will only tolerate us for so long before it hits the reset button and gets rid of us all for good, that is unless we hit our own reset button and really do something stupid that wipes out most of humanity, as we now have the ability to do just that. And anyone that thinks that's a joke, you're only fooling yourself.

Fires, with their destructive force and uncontrollable nature, align with the Bible's depiction of fearful sights that would mark the last days. In Luke 21:11, Jesus warned that there would be "great earthquakes, and in one place after another pestilences and food shortages; and there will be fearful sights and from heaven great signs." The increasing prevalence and intensity of wildfires around the world can certainly be considered one of these fearful sights. These fires, often fueled by changing climate patterns and human activity, bring devastation to forests, homes, and lives, symbolizing the unruly and destructive aspects of the natural world. This parallels the prophecy that speaks of creation "groaning in pain together until now" and how the earth would be affected as part of the signs of the last days (Romans 8:22; Luke 21:25). Furthermore, the Book of Revelation uses fire as a symbolic representation of divine judgment and purification. The imagery of fire consuming elements is employed to depict the purging of evil and the establishment of a new and righteous order. As wildfires rage, they evoke the sense of impending judgment and a world out of balance, reminding us of the biblical narrative's anticipation of God's intervention to set things right. Thus, fires serve as both a literal manifestation of the fearful sights mentioned by Jesus and a symbolic reminder of the purification that will occur when God's Kingdom is established, putting an end to this wicked system.
