Why does it keep Blacking out? I am trying to use the video....I have connected it to a view finder but it is blacking out on me? Any thoughts on what to do to change that? Do I need a Card for it? I have it connected to a video recorder so I am not recording directly to the camera,

Great video!!! I am wondering about the MICRO, let's say that I hold the camera with a selfie stick or on a table 50cm/1m from me and talk, is the MICRO enough or would I need external MICRO? How about Xiaomi Yi Micro? I have SJ4000 and I know I need to talk next to the Micro else people can not hear....

+China Non-Stop It has pretty decent sound and I think it will be able to pick up you talking from that distance. It will not be a studio sound for sure. If voice over quality is is important, external microphone is a must for any camera. This can not support external mic, at least I am not aware of such capability.

Hi can you tell me if this camera would be compatable with the Q 500 typhoon G that takes a gopro camera ? on the Q500 it has a video feed cable which I think feeds the Tx with the video , any help on this would be great ,good info on your videos too. thanks.

yes actually very loud, maybe gopro have very high volume when compared but 6s is loud and clear for me.

They are all build in the same factory. I've got a Rollei Camera which is the same as the SJ4000 expect of a 40m case.

+Alberto Rasoga Most of these type of cameras get warm when using them for a while. I really do not remember if mine got warm around the lens, but I wouldn't worry much even if it did, as in most cases that's normal.

+Dan Slattery It is less user friendly compared to SJ4000, but has much better photo and better video quality. As for other cameras, Dazzne P3 is also nice one. pevly.com/dazzne-p3-review/

thank you for your review i was actually sold in to buy this camera but i can not use it because every sd card i used class 10 from 4-32gb i get the message card full!!!! my firmware is the 2.6 and i have formatted the card in fat32 several times but the problem persists. i tried to reinstall the firmware but is impossible to do it . ANY SUGGESTIONS PLEASE???? i boaght the cam from GEARBEST

Try formatting it inside the camera. If you tried multiple cards, then I'm afraid it might be defective.

I am not a diver, you can use pretty much any that is waterproof, there is no difference as they use similar/same quality housings. If you need a specific underwater advice, you'd have to search online.

+Pevly Thank you for your detailed and comprehensive review. In regard to the gyro image stabilization and your knowledge of the 6s hardware, would the gyro feature work best at lower bitrates? With the v2.3 upgrade and higher default bitrates, I'm wondering if the high bitrate option should be avoided when using the gyro. I would appreciate your opinion. Thank you.

+Ron Unfortunately, this review was based on 2.2 firmware and I have not tested 2.3 yet. I guess I can only recommend you to try and see if there is any significant difference.

I got it for £44 minus a further £12 credit I had with Gearbest. I don't intend using 4K but bought it for the build in gyros for my drone... I know for a fact the video provider didn't have stabilisation turned on at any point during the video presentation. You can see this clearly while he's using it as a dash-cam as the dash - door mirror would be moving in frame, which they were not. Speaking English isn't quite the same as being able to read instructions in the language.

Not bad. However, I wish the manufacturers would outgrow the boxy form factor for their action cams which do not have monitors. Really, there are much better shapes. Even if there is to be a monitor (small one, as it were), its better form would be a square back flowing through the pyramidal to the shortened cone form, with circle lens end... Waterproof, of course, the form would be much sturdier, e.g. pressure- resistant, and also offer more logical surface against wind and water flow.
