Dude, don't take this the wrong way, but are those pups hot enough for how low you are running your amp gain? You seemed to be fighting it a little bit in spots....Like you needed the slightest bit more gain to smooth things out. I couldn't imagine playing that with the gain so low. I don't have the technique to pull it off. As far as the FF goes, I haven't had a chance to try a 338 yet. I have two of the set-through neck joint FFSP's and a heavy relic burst FFST. Other than a couple of sprung frets I had to tap down, they have been absolutely perfect sub $300.00 guitars.

I’m more of a Low to Mid Gain guy and That guitar gives me a fight. Also I wanted the tone of the guitar to come through, after a certain amount of gain the articulation is lost. I didn’t take it the wrong way, I know I don’t a perfect technique and I made peace with it and that was the first and only take.

@mannijimenezmusic , so it still has the factory pups in it? I can see that now. Both of my FFSP's still have the factory pups in them, and they are barely hot enough even through the red channel of my 50 watt Stealth. I'm guessing about 12k or so for the bridge pup. Which is warm for a PAF style pickup. I'm more of a Super Distortion/EMG kind of guy. I need tons of gain and compression to make myself sound halfway decent.

@BazonBlades No, The FF338 has Seymour Duncan Slash signature Pickups. They vey PAF sounding.

@BazonBlades I like EMG’s for their articulation. With gain it’s more what my mood is that day.
