Nice review! I also prefer the bridge and middle pickup sound, but I'll take rosewood or pau ferro fretboards over maple every time. My FFST just arrived and is waiting to be unboxed. I've been buying Fireflys for 5 to 6 years now and they're really stepping up their game. I didn't care for the early FFTL models but I might have to try the newer ones a try...it's looking like they're doing a lot better with those now. Out of a dozen or more Fireflys the only problem I've had was having to reglue the nut on one...simple fix. I've sold 6 or 7 at cost over the years and am kicking myself now...should have kept them all...lol

I bought a great Les Paul style guitar from firefly not long ago because of the guitar Max channel its the lighter blue one with the recessed area back there by the set neck which I really liked. I also just ordered this exact guitar yesterday really looking forward to it. Thanks for your review.

I just got my FFTL yesterday. It's amazing! I will likely change some of the electronics, but is is so good on the bridge pickup. I got the P90 at the neck and that needs work, but that bridge pickup is awesome.. I can roll off the tone and it has so much dynamic. It's really good. They are putting out really good stuff. Their shipping policy sucks, but just specify not to use FedEx. Those shitters will leave your stuff out on the street in West Philly. I am having an issue with them about not not having my last guitar put in the mail room and not out on the street! Edit: I had my first one stolen that I ordered. I specifically put the address as my apartment, but they left it on the street! Nutzo, but I love the one I got delivered by UPS. I bought a baritone from them last year, and it's really nice. It's a quality build. Sucks to have a problem with them.

Another edit: I actually find the P90 really not good here. It is so mismatched it's dopey. I will fix it gladly, but I only spent a total of $166 bucks for a really nice guitar. Not a bad trade off for good wood.
