Max, one small suggestion when you're demoing the guitars. Could you discuss the balance (neck or body heavy) briefly? It's surprisingly difficult to find information about this. For example love my Harley Benton Fusion 3, but the one problem it has is it's insanely neck heavy, basically requires a strap for me to play with it. I don't see that sort of information on any of the usual reviews. It would be really helpful to know for these guitars!

Thanks for your channel and real reviews. Bought my first, red 338, bout 4 or 5 years ago after seeing it on your channel. Now own 6 and no complaints. Changed out the pickups on the 338, microphonic, and put high outputs on my SG. No issues w finish, frets... I've filed a few but no biggie. I love the necks on the Gibson copies particularly the SG and LP double cutaway. I'd like to get their Firebird but I been too slow. But thanks for all your work, really enjoy the channel.

As a metalhead, I've never been into semi hollows. Well, one of my customers gave me a sunburst Alvarez 335 style. It's a beautiful, great playing guitar. It's got the dog ear p90's, which is also new to me. I absolutely love it. So I've been looking for a good semi hollow for a mod project. I want one that can do rockabilly and breathe fire. Max makes me want anything he plays, so maybe I'll check one of these out. I dig the white and red scheme here too. Thanks Max for another helpful video. 🤘

I found you and subscribed when researching the WOLF LP and of course bought one. Followed that up with the original Firefly 338 video and of course bought one, Spalted maple. I once had 7 inexpensive guitars and thought “this Max knows the gig!” Now I have 26 guitars and it’s motivated me to become a better player. I’ve only missed playing 2 days in the last 6 years. He introduced me to Laguna, which I'd dismissed but they are great guitars. I got an LE300 for $100. It is a fantastic guitar. Keep up the good work! Review IYV. Yo! Max, you gotta do a follow up on this guitar! Could you do an upgrade video where you put the Guitarfetish trem, maybe some GFS pickups with the solderless kit? Maybe the Hum90s with a push pull? Or something crazy like a super hot bridge and a creamy clean neck.

I also want the purple FFLX with middle fingers for inlays 🖕that one is going for 189.00. Damn, got to fight GAS! Must fight GAS! If I didn’t have too many I would pull the trigger on another Firefly. I upload videos of my collection on my KZbin channel but be forewarned I can’t play worth a lick literally.

You should also point out to collectors out there that the website randomly adds some really cool guitars out of nowhere that sale out instantly! One was a Replica of the Buckethead guitar, Killswitches and all. I was bummed out that I missed out but I got a 10s guitar instead, more pricier but guaranteed quality woods and hardware.

I first noted the neck volute on higher end Japanese guitars from the late 70's and 80's. Over the years I have observed that one rarely hears about headstock breaks on those Japanese classic guitars with that feature. Nor on others like Korean made guitars that have them like early 2000's Schecter's. You hear quite a bit about the Gibson "boat oar" headstocks snapping. So there may be something to it. PS-Many of the (hated by guitar cork sniffers) Norlin era Gibson guitars often DID have a volute, and you don't hear as much about THEM breaking.

Mine had a low third fret. Only reasonable way to fix is to level the other frets. Not so easy as fixing a high fret. They gave me $40 off do the fret level myself. Worked out in the end.

I started on a 335 and still love that guitar although I now have over 50 guitars! In fact I was impressed with the upgrades on this and ordered it! It got to my primary resident but I been away for several months but returning this week!

I bought the tom delonge inspired version and it is amazing. Tone was actually pretty well rounded , changed the pickup to a dirty fingers humbucker. Now it's on par with the epiphone version

Looks great and sounds good, but my problem with Firefly is the super flat fret board. My explorer style is something like 17 inch. Are these the same super flat fret board or are they around 12"? (Watched till the end of the video so as not to lose points too. 🤣)

Thanks for another great video, but tempting me with another 338 when I'm currently holding out for possibly getting the FFHB model, is just cruel. The FFHB models they currently offer have some weird finishes so if they improve on that aspect, like maybe a sunburst or spalted maple, I may pull the trigger. But I'd love to get your opinion on the FFHB. I'm getting more into rockabilly these days and a hollow body might be the way to go. I hope you get one and do a demo of it.

I bought a Firefly flying V and it was A+++. Purchased their Les Paul style and it’s been nothing but a horrible mess. Brought it to my friend the luthier and he could not get the neck right? So it’s not playable! At the same time I bought my daughter an SG from them and it was not correct so it was fixed by the same luthier, but at $70… Now it’s super playable! I’m hesitant to buy another?
