I believe the SAM choking her is her internal struggle, and yea typically "clones" don't have long lifespans. It seemed like in the flashback she evolved her SAM, and they are more like Evangelion mechs than normal ones (meaning they are biologically driven).

Firefly is a clone pilot of a Strategic Assault Mech (S.A.M). What held her by the throat was her S.A.M, it was just a symbol of inner turmoil, coming of age 'Who Am I Really?' moment. The trailer was her progressing from mass murdering Stellaron Hunter, to wanting more and finding herself.. Honestly, I think you have to take all of the trailers and animations together and it tells one hell of a complete story. And we still have so much more left to learn.

OHHHH!! It did cross my mind that it could be her own SAM and her having an inner battle with herself. I think them including that is really cool! The lore for the game just seems to get so much better with each update!!

Firefly pilots a Mk4 Strategic heavy Assault Mech (S.A.M). And while there are earlier models, a fellow pilot comments in her Myriad Celestia trailer that her long hair and model number show she's seen considerable service and combat in the Swam Invasion of the Glamoth Empire. This actually makes her likely the eldest of the Stellaron Hunters, and older than some Aeon's in the game's setting. But it's suggested in the animated trailer that she spent most of this time in stasis until being woken and recruited by Kafka, and having been diagnosed with Entropy Loss Syndrome, a condition that will slowly have her fade away. A fate its implied she likely joined the Stellaron Hunters to defy with a more grandiose and spectacular death.

She got blessed by one of the eons or maybe drained the life force of glamoth with the tree thing but she still struggle with internal problems of not forfilling her duty to die thats why she have a little inside battle with the sam suit before wrecking the mech.. or at least that how i see it.... (seen The Embers of Glamoth like 80+times)

At 4:44 you asked about the lifespans of SAMs, Firefly told us when we first went to her secret base that the sickness she has (Entropy Loss Syndrome) makes you quote: "slowly fade away, doing everything slightly slower than others, until the lines between their body and world become blurry."

I loved this trailer so much! I think it is my fav one now. I thought Acheron was going to be my all time fav in star rail but Firefly has passed her up for me now. Cant wait to get her tonight!

hey just some constructive criticism. react HOWEVER you like, it's completely up to you. Just a recommendation I would say watch the entire thing once through then go back and analyze. You interrupt the "flow" of the trailer by constantly going back and forth. But again it's entirely your choice. I just know there are some that can get upset with constant pausing and reverting on the first watch.

Sometimes I do this but most of the time I don't have the time to do this as I record these in my mornings, edit straight after, upload and then I have to work. Thanks for the feedback though!
