This helped me, I moved into my house a year ago and today was the first time I tried using the fireplace. It didnt work at first but holding the ignite button for a minute to purge everything out is what did the trick for me. Good video!

My pilot won’t stay lite anyone know why

Don't know if you still have this problem but you have to hold down the button (not sure what its called but its the one that clicks) after lighting the pilot and keep it held for awhile while the pilot burns. It will heat an element that allows the gas to keep flowing. After 10 or so seconds it should hot enough and you can let go of the button.

Tyler McNally yea I did that I held it down for over a min. And when I let it go it just goes out.

@@th3cramman late response but it sounds like a bad thermocouple. If bad, it will not open the gas valve to the pilot light as a safety precaution
