Dennis is incorrect about the Book of Mormon being the end of canonized revelation for Mormons. The Mormons have two other books of scripture along with the Bible and Book of Mormon. They also have apostles and prophets who speak to church members worldwide twice a year in a weekend long conference. While conference reports are not canonized, they are still viewed as scripture and church members are strongly urged to study conference reports as part of their scripture study.

tubeler , excellent comments. I dumped FB 3 yrs ago. Best decision. The difference btwn Dennis Prager and FB is that FB is a social media monopoly and like YT they falsely present themselves as an open, public platform while simultaneously censoring certain perspectives, ideas, peoples and political ideologies. Prager is a public commentator, a conservative, who uses these platforms to reach people. If you take anything from Stephen Foley, take his advice and dump FB. Right now, it's the best way to "Fight". If no one is using their platform, they have no one to regulate. We need to do the same w/YT. Life still very much exists without FB. Revelation actually doesn't end for Mormons at all, we believe God still communicates with his children and with his church. It may be true that we don't continue to write a modern religious text, but it's a major part of our doctrine that divine revelation continues today. Also, there is not any church called the Mormon church, it's the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The mix-up is because people nicknamed us after the Book of Mormon, which actually happened between 600 BC 420 AD, and was translated by the prophet Joseph Smith in 1829.

Actually...Ishamel was the child of a Shemite and Hamite, Esau while a shemite married a hammite. They did not keep their shemite lineage. That's the genelogoy by the bible. Obviously Jews today didn't either, but the point is the sons of Jacob maintained their wives that were also shemites. hence the ones who were enslaved and freed from Egypt were shemites. But incidentally there were other Shemites. At the end of the day it just became a synonymous term with Jews.
@RoseThistleArtworks6 жыл бұрын
Russell Trakhtenberg Hm. That is an interesting point about whether the lineage was kept Adamic. I hadn't thought of that before. Still, the other 11 tribes would qualify and the daughters of Zelophehad asked God if the heritage and promises could pass through them if there was no male heir and He agreed in Numbers 26 KJV. This is why God's heritage passed through Mary to Jesus. Mary's father was tribe of Judah, Luke 3, the promised king line and Mary's mother was tribe of Levi, Luke 1, the tribe that chose to serve God so God chose them as priests/lords and this makes Jesus Christ The King of kings and The Lord of lords, Melchizedek.

So how many kids see Prager puffing on a stogie and are like “Damn, that old white guy in a suit got it going on. I better model all my behaviors on him so I can’t get mad honies!”

Give up the cigars🤣 Thank you for such a clear precise way of describing the sham which took place this week in American politics✅👍

I've listen to you interviewed on all sorts of other outlets, heard about the Fireside Chats and have intended to watch one for awhile. Always loved the idea of, what I assume, is an FDR inspired chat -WITH cigars! Totally bummed the first video I catch is sans cigars! Great video on an insane topic, thank you!

I am a Christian who has resented those who claim to be Jews, some two thousand years since the destruction of the Temple and the end of the Old Covenant. That said, as a Christian, my faith has no meaning without the Tanakh, and I no longer resent faithful Jews, even though they have long ago lost familial tribal ties. Jews since 70AD no longer exist as a people, as there are only those who adhere to the faith, and I respect that.

I love these fireside chats, thank you for you insight and comments on the vital importance of evidence, you explain things so well. Love the point you make about how the left is tearing down society, and how conservatives want to build things up. Keep up the good work, love Prager U videos too.

"The basic political principle of the Objectivist ethics is: no man may initiate the use of physical force against others. No man - or group or society or government - has the right to assume the role of a criminal and initiate the use of physical compulsion against any man. Men have the right to use physical force only in retaliation and only against those who initiate its use. The ethical principle involved is simple and clear-cut: it is the difference between murder and self-defense. A holdup man seeks to gain a value, wealth, by killing his victim; the victim does not grow richer by killing a holdup man. The principle is: no man may obtain any values from others by resorting to physical force." ~ Ayn Rand, The Virtue of Selfishness, 32

Everyone who has followed this hearing at all should call and/or write his senators and demand they vote to confirm. Do it!

Another great video. Thank you for all you do. Haydn was a great answer to the dinner question, I think that would be great to talk to him about how he puts together amazing music. He is one of, my favorite composers, I loved playing his music on my violin.
