The original fireside chats were a series of evening radio addresses given by U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt between 1933 and 1944.
Beginning in March of 2020, at the onset of Covid-19 quarantines in the US, David Alan Cooper, Principal Horn of the Chicago Symphony began bringing together the great musicians of the world to chat about what happens on- and off-stage.

Mr. Friedman is a living legend. At eighty years old and he is still researching and still learning. He is truly inspirational. I've been playing for over fifty years. I learned so much. Thank you so much for doing this interview!

April 11, 1939 is what I see, so nearly 82? That is what we call a long legacy! Wikipedia says - “When appointed principal in 1964, he was the youngest brass player to take the first chair in a major orchestra.”
