I can get onboard with Reed. Higgins concerns me due to his constant missed time. Thing is, one of the easiest positions to draft for is WR. Grab another WR in the 2nd or 3rd round... even 4th. Cornerback on the other hand is a very difficult position to draft for, getting a proven vet makes a great deal of sense.

@kandyman2705 i think his drafting has been fine. Has has brought in some good young talent who have provided help in positions of need. some are just servicable while others have really done well. Tracey, nabers, nubin, Phillips, johnson, wandale, flott, JMS, McFadden, banks, etc are all decent or above average at least. Especially this year's draft it seems to be the best one yet. I think the team he has established to draft has done well. It's the decisions he has made with resigning or signing free agents that worries me.

Spending power? Yeah, Schoen is great at the budget. But horrible at using it to sign good players. His trend is to sign a dozen mediocre players to save flexability but do nothing to improve the team. I said it earlier this year that I was worried about signing a bunch of budget lineman over two or three good ones was not fixing the line. And it wasn't. So, why should I have any confidence he will spend the Giants money this year?

Chiming in on your previous cast about "ruining talent" and I couldn't agree more with you guys. Anthony especially you about lack of evaluating talent. I think it's throughout the organization though. Scouts, evaluators and developers. I am right there with you. You can just see it in the players' efforts and on their faces as their careers progress with this team. They simply don't want to play here and nothing changes their minds because of the development, lack of leaders, losing and a number of other things. But how many players have gone elsewhere and been successful or how many players have come in with SUPER high expectations being held of them and they turn into busts. Please tell me how Evan Neal plays for Alabama and comes here as a 7th pick and does as poorly as he has? So many things have got to be wrong for something like that to happen. I throw up my hands because a fan I can't do anything about it but it is sad and disappointing as a fan and it continues to be year after year.

I think if the Giants were to draft Shedeur Sanders they should let Kafka leave and bring Pat Shurmur in as an OC. Allowing Sanders to continue working with a guy he knows and who knows him. Wise decision by Brian Daboll. While amateur podcasters are quick to dismiss Drew Lock, when one examines film, Here's why Drew Lock should start from this point forward. - Drew engineered touchdown drives in the first & fourth quarters. The first TD made a statement punctuated by a 28-yard run to the 1-yard line. The second TD was preceded by a pass to Nabers that neither DJ nor Devito are capable of making. - Lock never quit and neither did the offense. Nabers, Theo, Slayton and Tracy were fully engaged. Had Slayton been more adroit, tack on two completions and 70 yards. - Lock involved Nabers early in the passing game. Connections with Theo & Co in the 2nd half moved the offense despite penalty interruptions. Multiple times, Lock overcame huge O-Line penalties to keep scoring drives alive. - Passing - Lock completed 21 of 32 passes for 178 yards. Replace 4 dropped passes with completions & he's 25 of 32. 25 of 32. - Four of seven incompletions were physically caused by pass rush. - One incomplete pass connected for 30 yards on the left sideline but Slayton could only get one foot in. Another hit Slayton in the hands 40 yards downfield on the right sideline. If you want to rant about the remaining two incompletions, knock yourself out. - And passing yardage. Beyond the dropped passes, completions were taken off the board by penalties. Changes Lock's YPP & total yardage. - Four (4) trips to the scoring zone yielded four (4) scores - two TDs and two FGs. I'll take it. - The elephant in the room are the two turnovers. Correctable physical errors. More practice reps on screens (meaning the RB needs to belly-out further away from the LBer) and better ball security when busting for a first down from a collapsed pocket. - I'll give Lock the same slack we give to Tyrone Tracy. They are both talented ballplayers. Right now, I'm focusing on the talent Drew Lock displayed in this game. - Drew Lock and Tommy Devito are not in the same class of NFL quarterbacks, clearly. Lock exhibited a measure of control that had the offense functioning. Lock connected downfield and underneath across the field of play. - If Daboll is smart, he'll continue with Lock as #1. Let's see what we have in house before tanking for a #1 draft pick. I saw Cam Ward play in Syracuse. His arm plays, but I question his mobility at the NFL level. I'd rather we invest our draft capital bolstering the O-Line and D-Line and use FA capital on linebackers and secondary. - I have my doubts in Daboll. I have my doubts in Devito, moreso in his durability than basic QB competence, but he needs work. I do not doubt Drew Lock's QB competence. - During last off-season, Lock had other choices. He signed with the Giants with the understanding that he was QB 2 behind DJ on the depth chart. As a matter of contractual integrity, the Giants need to honor that commitment. Otherwise, FAs will think twice before signing with the Giants.

Hey Guys, hear me out on this: Many players coming out of college have a difficult time adjusting to the NFL, especially Quarterbacks, see Sam Darnold, etc. As a suggestion, why not have Joe Schoen make a trade with the Denver Broncos for their 3rd string Quarterback Zach Wilson. @boki1693 Nabers should be traded because he is overrated. If the Giants can get a first and a possible 3rd round pick, then it should be considered. The team can get a Wr in free agency.

Get a veteran on the cheap and build both lines in the draft. Sign no big FA. Build team for the next two years then trade up for a top QB in 2026 draft.
