@Firesprint i have used ZUND and a few other brands (for box making). The ZUND cost a pretty penny but they are worth it ten times over.

Great to see your shop! Does the same person that packages your item create the shipping label? Would love to see your process, how do you package your items, keep everything together, material used and how does it get to shipping, do you label the box before the shipping dept? when does that printed etc?
@FiresprintАй бұрын
We'll do a little closer up process of it. In general though, yes. A job is packed up and shipped by the same person. For example, we'll have jobs cut and sorted by a zund operator with a yellow job label. Next a shipper will grab the order, pull up the details using the yellow label, pack it up, then label it with a shipping label.

Nice set-up you have there, I use to order a lot of corrugated signs from you guys when you did screen printing until they changed the law that everyone that buys wholesale needs a resale certificate. I been try to get one while being overseas and it's impossible to do it online so maybe I will be lucky to get one when I'm back home in Chicago for Christmas

We’d love to work with you again as long as you are able to provide proof of resale and a sales tax permit. Thank you!

On our graphtec I struggle with through cuts of anything other than circles. Especially the stickers that run under the pinch roller. They come apart at sharp corners and then the whole sheet crumples. Do you use any of the perf setting?
@FiresprintАй бұрын
We don't use any bridging or perf. It might have to do with your blades or the depth setting. Try different settings and different materials. It takes a bit of trial and error to get it right.

How can i print custom checks for customers - blank checks that they can use in their printer/accounting software? with sequential numbers and such? Any suggestions?

You're probably looking for MICR printing. Try looking into that either on google, or Sage/ESP.

Hey, Gene! Thank you for the informative video! I have a simple, yet infinitely “deep” question - how do you start doing what you are doing in this day and age with a minimum amount of capital, i.e. what is the minimum viable business? Cheers! Nik
@FiresprintАй бұрын
This is a question that could take a whole library to answer, but I'll try in a few words here. You can start exactly like I did. I mostly started with a vinyl plotter and a couple of good outsource partners. I had no idea what I was doing but I started selling anyway. I went to every business in strip malls and asked if they needed any print, signage, or promo. If they said yes, I also said yes, and then went home that night and figured out how to make what they asked for. My pitch got better, and I got better at outsourcing and making stuff. Little by little I added incredible people to my team that helped me listen to and take care of our customers. We got more and more focused, learning what works for us, and what was simply a distraction. I believe the most important thing was listening to our customers. Rather than buying equipment, then trying to fill it up, we sold the jobs, then only bought equipment when it made sense.

You guys must produce hundreds of tonnes of waste. Why don’t you separate the cardboard and plastic waste or run some kind of recycling program?
@FiresprintАй бұрын
We work to reuse pallets and other packaging materials in our outbound shipments. We also use ai and automated nesting techniques to use as much of the sheets and rolls as possible while still meeting our client’s needs. First reduce and reuse. From there we look externally for alternative uses for our clean offcuts like donating them to schools and daycares for crafts and projects. Even with all of that there is still waste, and we’re constantly looking for viable options in our area to reduce what ends up in the landfill.
@garybarker3794Ай бұрын
@@Firesprint try looking in to a granulator, you might be able to use your waste to go in with your jobs as packaging.
