Just put on a set of these on my ‘22 Silverado 1500 (275/60r20) and so far very pleased. I have about 500 miles on them. My off-road driving is moderate but these are just perfect for me and they just flat out give my truck a much aggressive look than regular all seasons. Don’t really have anything negative to say on them or at least not yet.

Good review! I too owned these tires, twice, and they are pretty much what you described. They're an over all light off-road tire, quiet, excellent in rain, smooth riding, and pretty good in snow too. The only time I didn't like these tires was on pure sheets of ice; a surface on which everything but a dedicated winter tire is less than ideal. I traded my truck(Ram 1500) in with about 10k on the tires and they showed very little wear. Yes, handling suffers a bit compared the the H rated all seasons I took off, but not by too much, and I often take turns and ramps too fast. They rarely had me question the grip they would provide, and never really let me down either. Now, I rarely go off-road, and also had no issues with the Destination LE's on a previous Jeep Cherokee I owned. In fact, they too were incredible in snow and rain, and easily pulled me through 2 1/2 feet of snow, just as the ATs would.

Thank You for the positive feedback. I am going to be doing a review on the Bridgestone Revo 3 tires later this year. Just waiting to test them out in the snow!
@otter6320 күн бұрын
I just got a set of these for my 4Runner. Before I switched, I measured the noise level inside the truck at 55 dBA with the stock Bridgestone Dueler H/T 684ii tires. These A/T 2 tires measure 50 dBA on the same stretch of road at the same speed. They are also much more comfortable to ride on. Fuel economy is the same. I also like the A/T 2 tires because they are very close in weight to the stock tires, and I figure the suspension is designed to handle that amount of unsprung weight.
@EverydayCars19 күн бұрын
Yeah i really liked those tires. And the fact that they were so light my fuel mileage didn’t change at all. Thanks for the noise level test!

Thanks for the review. Watched your first one. Looking to get these tires just because there alot lighter than other a/t tires I've been looking at. So that means better fuel economy. And the tread with the centre rib on the Firestone's gives the tire a much more comfortable ride and less road noise. Thanks again for the follow up review...

Found your review, thank you for doing the video. My first choice was to opt for the Firestone WeatherGrip, but they could not find in my size (Toyota XLE Highlander, not a AWD, just 2-wheel drive), the Firestone guy recommended the AT/2's - I do some light off roading in the Eastern High Sierras, nothing to heavy duty, since I don't have AWD or 4WD, but thinking these would be perfect, since I also do driving in rain and some snow. Wanted to ask if you still like the tires and whether you would still recommend them for my type vehicle and use as I described above. Thank you!
@EverydayCars3 жыл бұрын
I still love them. I co worker bought them after I told him how good they were and he also loves his. During this winter he never put his truck in 4wd. I would definitely recommend it for your vehicle, especially since they are pretty light your mpg’s don’t get hurt.

Seriously considering getting a set of these for my '04 Trailblazer EXT. It has Goodyear Fortera HL3's on it right now, those don't give me a lot of warm fuzzies on snow. Knowhutimean, Vern? And here in Lincoln, Ne. we do get some pretty good snowstorms at times.

Like most tires that have white letters, the other side is all black on the AT/2. I just put 11000 miles on asphalt and some dirt, sand and snow and I like them. I installed the white letters on the outside. They took some weight to balance but not out of limits.

hey man have you tried the goodyear duratrac? the grumble from those tires is a bit too much for me but i need something with winter rating so ive been looking at these. you say theres some noise so im wondering how it compares to the noise the duratrac makes. i cant find an "all weather" tire that isnt listed as an "all terrain"
@EverydayCars4 жыл бұрын
These tires don’t make any more noise than a worn out all season. My family didn’t even notice anymore noise than the all seasons they replaced. They will be a lot quieter than the duratracs. And these tires are excellent in the snow.

For tire reviews, reviewers need to provide tread depth, and load rating. When people complain about poor traction in deep fresh snow (12 inches) or blowing a load C rated tires while pulling a trailer loaded with a SkidSteer at 70 mph on I-70 through the Rocky Mtns in January, we the readers need to know if the reviewer purchased the correct tire for their task. For my empty 6000 lb 4WD SUV I prefer quiet(NOT, I didn't rotate) Duratracs with low weight 45-50lbs (easy-on-suspension), 16 to 18/ 32nds tread depth for any kind of deep snow or slush. The new Destination XTs and Grabber XTs (terrible name) look good (quiet, great tread depth 16/32nds and snow traction, light weight for load rating).
@EverydayCars3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the input. When I review more tires I will try to incorporate your suggestions.
@judgedredd88762 жыл бұрын
I agree the only negative about the AT/2s is that they start with only 12/32nds when new. I had already ordered Duratracs but too many reviewers complained about noise starting AFTER the second half of their tread life, so I returned them. I've put 12k on the AT/2s, they are OK overall, but I might try something else next time.
