One of my great grandfathers invented firestone tires. But he was working with someone else to run the company, the wife signed a deal to give up the company to the other guy.

@ 2:22 back when labor was cheap and parts were dear. It was cheaper to cut excess spoke length and the steel tire off and weld a new Rim to the old hub/spoke assembly. This was back when there was no cheap Chinese labor, no big government requirements and Americans labor wasn't overpriced.

This company got its main initial supply in the early 1900’s from Leopold. Leopold at the time was the biggest leather supplier in the world. He uses slaves to mine the same leather in Africa. Records show it was pretty brutal he’d sever the hands of workers if they didn’t produce enough leather or did anything against. Firestone should really be boycotted when you think about it it’s too f’ed up.

They don't want to talk about that part they want us to believe that it was some white man in a factory on a farm somewhere supplying all the rubber they don't want to talk about the part where 20 million Africans were brutally murdered to produce the rubber which is only produced from the rubber trees in Congo
