Distracted drivers are the worst. Paying attention to everything other than driving. Please be safe and watch out for each other. Greetings from Lancaster, California.

Glad you got there while it wasn't bigger. Nearly put my foot through the floor again when that guy didn't look like he was stopping for anything. Great defensive driving! Stay safe. 🚒🇺🇸

I can tell, you sure after watch when you come up to a four way intersection, people don’t care about emergency vehicles with lights and sirens.

Y department just lays the horn horn someone doesn't move out of the way

Well, the drive there was more heart-stopping than the fire. I’m glad everyone is safe and I’m glad the fire was small and didn’t cause property damage. Other than a 15 foot square area where the cows can’t graze till Spring.

Something was mounted on window at some point. Alcohol wipes will remove it. Takes a little elbow grease, but you can get rid of it easy. The alcohol wipes break down the glue.

Funny to see people not paying attention, literally everyone stopped at the intersection, i wonder what that car was thinking like “yea everyone stopped but idc im still gonna go”

They threw a train horn on the TAC. I'm surprised but also not, something needs to be loud enough to get people's attention and act like the horn on the other firetrucks.

TAC should have the Starsky & Hutch siren.

It would be super cool if one day you could maybe do a walk around of the station and show off all the units in one video

If you are going to film your response and do not have your seat belts on and get into a accident insurance and workman's comp will not pay. It sounded like a seatbelt alarm was sounding while driving

Phaser/hyper yelp. Absolutely worthless but dudes love using it for some reason.
@jpope53718 сағат бұрын
It’s just another siren, what’s the difference?
@theheck17 сағат бұрын
These "different" sirens, such as phaser and yelp, and even hi-low, do serve a purpose. It's designed to get drivers attention, as many have become numb to the regular wail siren. That being said, there's always someone who is just plain ignorant, like the driver in this video who apparently thought they were special.
@haroldenglish94317 сағат бұрын
@jpope537 People do not recognize it as a "Siren." For whatever reason, people just don't accept or realize what it is. Call it TV programming or whatever but the regular sirens, wail/yelp, people recognize it and act accordingly. The Hyper yelp/Phaser "sounds cool" but is quite ineffective. Just my opinion and a few days worth of experience.

What does TAC stand for and why don't your County call them Brush Truck's? Is it like a Tanker/ Tender type deal
@JustyourlocalJRFirefighter16 сағат бұрын
I believe it’s short for “Attack,” I’m not sure, attack trucks are basically brush trucks
@rogerdehaven560316 сағат бұрын
@JustyourlocalJRFirefighter Yes depending on how it equipped.

Watch this video to see how it looks and what equipment it has. No idea about why it's called a TAC though.
@Fire-Rescue5014 сағат бұрын
@rogerdehaven5603 Our county recognizes both TAC and Brush units. The difference is that brush trucks usually have a small pump and not a lot of hose. They only respond to brush fires. While TACs are basically mini engines. They have full sized pumps and a range of handlines and supply lines. They are great for brush fires, however can function as a full sized engine at other fires, and are great for water supply and drafting
