In my experience, Kodi works very well on the Firestick with one or two addons. Personally, I prefer it to other apps because it requires less updating, has no ads, and is a great media player with advanced features.

Hello there! If you're looking to add Real Debrid to your addons, I suggest checking out the tutorial pages on my website (you can find the website address in the video). Instead of installing a Build, which can be slow and come with a lot of unnecessary pre-installed addons, I recommend installing a few separate addons. For some recommendations, please take a look at the Addons pages on my website.

I had the green monster build with a previous version. When I updated to the most recent version it said the skin wasn’t compatible with updated version leaving me with the generic Kodi screen. Still have all my add-ons, just crappy boring Kodi screen. Oh well.

The official word from Kodi is that a majority of changes are "under the hood" and invisible to users but improve the stability, performance, and safety of Kodi.

Maybe I’m missing something, but why would one want to continuously upgrade Kodi if they’re working on one that’s stable already? What’s the point doesn’t it give you the same things except for the graphics? Please correct me from wrong. I just don’t know the point. Thank you so much!

If you are satisfied with your current version, there is no need to update it. Since it is working well for you, updating is a matter of personal preference. I have version 18 installed on my Firestick Lite and have not updated it yet. However, I have updated to version 20 on my Fire Cube and have not yet upgraded to version 21. In this video, I demonstrate how to update to the latest version for those who wish to do so.

I haven't had a successful Kodi install since Kodi 18. I'm not sure why, I have plenty of internet, nothing extra uploaded and no add-ons. And it crashes within 10 minutes of trying to navigate.

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with Kodi. It's possible that there may be compatibility issues with the device you're using. If you've had success with other similar apps, it may be worth exploring alternatives to Kodi.

@FireTVSticks Hi Tanya! I've had very good luck with Kodi in the past. It was v17 & 18 that got me hooked. 19 was ok but now I can't even get a movie to play on hardly anything! All same devices as before. Literally nothing changed. 21 works better, but it crashed twice already. Do I need a Trakt, Real Debris premium service or VPN in the US for it to cooperate? I have tried VPNs and it Literally slows everything down to where its inoperative. Ive tried 4 or 5 and all do the same damn thing!!

​@@Heyu46 Version 18 is still functional, as I still have it on my Firestick Lite. If version 18 worked for you, I suggest sticking to that version. There is no immediate need to update. I apologize, but I am not sure why the newer versions are crashing on your device. Trakt or Real Debrid will not solve your crashing issues.

What gen fire stick do you have? Find the code on the back and find out? Then factory reset it and start fresh. Do not install over the top of previous kodis or versions. Once complete make sure you don't max out internal storage. If that fills up (as it does quick) it will crash and refuse to restart. My device is an older gen 2 running FEN lite and 20.3 with no issues. It can handle 1080 P no problem. It's not 4k fs or newer fs even.
