This game is the best indie game i played. Played it last june and i will definitely do it again this june. I wish they make another game similar to this or maybe continue the story of this one because this game made me feel so good and different. It has a special vibe to it. I can't even explain

sad story. they were working on a new game, called 'into the valley of gods' but it seems it will never be made. Valve bought the studio and now all the devs are working on valve stuff. doesnt look like the games going to be finished. It sucks firewatch is one of the most unique and amazing games i have ever player. Im sure into the valley of gods would have been amazing, if it ever got finished. such a shame...

I play raft because there's a lot of very similar things between the two games, given firewatch is a story based game and not survival based I understand, but there's something familiar about the aesthetics between the 2 different games.

Yeah, honestly as somone who once worked in one of those tower's, it's the best thing ever. However as job it's a bit different, as my old boss told me, "It's like prison in heaven."

@@themidnightracer9937 What is it like to work there? You have to just stare the whole day at the landscape to watch out for fires or you can go for half an hour/hour walk around the watchtower or just rest a bit?

@@starly1974 From what I experienced, you have breaks often for eating and that's about it, however if it is a partically slow fire season, you often can do little task's around the tower, like fixing the roof, or something else. You often have about 30 minutes prior to your shift starting from what I experienced, since I'm up quite early, but that's not long enough to go out for a good hike. However if people were lighting off fireworks close to your tower during quite a dry month, you would have to leave your tower for that, however that only happened around July 4th. You would also have to leave to get supplies other than that, that was about it. Other than that, yeah you basically sit in a tower, for the fire season, watch for smoke, and make daily reports. On the rare occasion there was a big enough fire, you could occasionally talk to the crews up in the planes.

i would legit DIE to just sit, in that tower, watching the fire crackle in the distance, listening to the quiet hums and plucks of the guitar as i play, looking off, thinking about just about anything, thinkin about what the real issues are, not world wide issues, just ones that i can work toward helping with, maybe i said something mean to my boyfriend that i didn't mean, ormaybe i just haven't called my mom in a while, chill stuff i can work to help with, bake him a nice pie and watch the sunset, call my mom and ask how she and dad are, calm small problems that seem insignificant but mean the world to people, just watchin the fire... tl;dr, call your mom! love yourself, bake a cherry pie and watch the sunset with the people you care about! live you, love you, be you!

The volice acting in the game is just amazing. It sounds like they are having a real conversation like they turned off the mic and were on break. I love how it starts out nice and funny and gets sad and dark all the sudden. How it changes the two charactets who were having fun into being scared and freaked out. Even in nature your still gonna run into stuff you would encounter in citys. But no one is around to witnesse it. This should be a movie.

I 100% agree with you on how the conversations feel so natural and genuine. A cool thing I learned recently is that the developers of Firewatch had Cissy Jones (Delilah) and Rich Sommer (Henry) placed in the recording studio together with a script and were told to just talk to each other, using the script as a guideline. They did this for each dialogue option and went back in later to edit it to fit the game. That's why it sounds like they're having an actual conversation, it's because they were.

Every year i play this game. Every single fucking year i cry at the end of it. Firewatch is probably one of the greatest indie games ever made, atleast story wise. This soundtrack will always be in the back of my mind, its actually beautiful.

I always feel the end was a cop out - but what would have happened had Henry and Delilah actually met would have been impossible to realize in a game as of today, so I guess it was the only way really for the game to end.

I just finished this remarkable game and felt the need to come here and write this. It's not often that I play a game that makes me feel so involved, that lets me connect with fictional characters to the extent that Firewatch just did. The last time I felt like this was after finishing the Mass Effect trilogy for the first time, and before that it was watching the credits roll in Red Dead Redemption. When I climbed on board that helicopter outside Delilah's watch tower, I didn't want to leave. I wanted to continue my adventure with Henry and D. I wanted to talk and talk and talk to her about anything and everything. I wanted to watch the Flapjack Fire with her in the dark. I wanted to find more bear tracks and freak out about it on the radio, just to hear her laugh about it. Thank you Campo Santo, for giving me this experience. I will treasure this game deep in my heart for the rest of my life. I will replay this one many, many times in the future.

I am still in love with Delilah. Her voice, her humor, her caring. Her overall character. There are certain video games that will follow you maybe for the rest of your life. And you think about them from time to time. What a great experience it was. Maybe the game came at the right time at the right place in your life. For me, Firewatch is one of those games. Honestly. I played this game and it knocked my socks off, I went into thinking it was gonna be normal but it turned out to be creepy. I will never forget this game game because it is so different from everything else. Wandering around trying to find stuff while talking to that woman, opening the little boxes and reading the notes, finding out about creepy lore, the sense of comfort but also they slight edge of paranoia. Everything about this game was perfect I would totally recommend It to someone who wanted to play a indie game

Thank you for this. I've been going through a lot of rough stuff recently at home and with my declining mental health recently and today is just not a good day at all. Everything seems to be crumbling around me and no matter how much I try to patch things up, it doesnt work... My depression has been lingering along with anorexia pains and thoughts reminiscing in my head for too long. I was going to watch Markipliers Firewatch video, but I got to the part where things get real hot and heavy and decided that I just wanted to hear the ambieance of the bueatiful music. So thank you for making this, I hope that I can be able to fall asleep better tonight without all of the horrible thoughts entering my head now with this very helpful music. Firewatch will forever remain my favourite game, nothing can make me forget about my worries quite like it and yet still be entertaining. I often hope for another game from Campo Santo however I will always appreciate them for making this masterpiece. I use this soundtrack whenever I’m studying, it brings me peace of mind while helping me focus. Everything about this game is perfect. Played this game one day ago on December 24 and it was the most detailed game I have played since battlefield 1 . still very good for a game made in 2016 , firewatch has so much dialogue that makes it why I love it .

@@IHarryy It would have to be a different forest, or a different time frame. Maybe the 1920's? And it would have to be a better mystery finish. Maybe a crime family? Maybe stumbling over an old treasure and deciding if you tell the other tower about it or not, and the grandson of the prospector coming back to claim it for himself?

I played this game back in 2016 Christmas. It was the first time I have ever got my own ps4. I had a good few couple of new games on there however during January on ps4 store they had January sales on and this game was only £15. I completed it within a good day and a half but them good few hours of playing was short and sweet and also magical. For anyone whom has never played this game but only listen to the music, I encourage you to think about buying this game. It's a short game but one that will last in your memory.
