FIREWORKS FOR QUEEN VICTORIA SAILAWAY FROM SOUTHAMPTON 09/01/25

Thanks Steve. I was born in Southampton and the noise of funnels on this clip brought back childhood memories of New Years Eve sounds from the docks at midnight. My father worked in the docks when the Queen Elizabeth and Queen Mary docked and sailed from there. Your video's are wonderful thank you.

Hello Steve fireworks for Queen Victoria were they from the other side of Southampton Harbour or a barge.? Regards Lynne PS Glad you are staying rugged up 🙃

Good afternoon Lynne, Yes the fireworks were launched from a barge near the Gymp Marker Bouy by Hythe Pier, the fireworks were started about 5:15pm approx & the 'Queen Victoria' started to leave soon just after the fireworks finished. It was quite chilly around 0c temp but I was well wrapped up. Take care Regards Steve.
