I experience direct firing on the ashes and flame of a wood fire. A glass bottle is softened and the plaster changes in density. The clay is smoked and fird with a rather brutal rise in temperature.
Good results for the sequel!

The fire emits a great quantity of heat, and the center of it is fiery.
However, cooking homogeneity can not be guaranteed on all parts.
Firing is done overnight until the temperature is high enough to actually fire the pieces. This is what is most delicate to determine for a primitive firing.
