Hot Corners can also be set so they need Control, Option or Command to be pressed while selecting the hot corner. This prevents accidental triggering. I use the Control key as the modifier.

A problem some folk have with Hot Corners is accidental activation when selecting the Apple Menu or Notifications (top left and right respectively). Fortunately, macOS has you covered. To prevent such spurious Hot Corner activity I have set it so I need to use the Control key as well as moving the cursor into those corners.

I prefer to see the various screen resolutions as a list. Go to System Settings>Displays>Advanced then the first option is "Show resolutions as a list." Toggle this on then click Done. Now instead of the previous icon view, you have a limited list view. At the bottom of that list is a toggle to "Show all resolutions." Toggle that setting to "on."

Windows/Linux user here (happy owner of an iMac M1 for almost a year and waiting for MBA15 to arrive tomorrow). In Windows i hardly ever click on the trackpad, I always used two fingers tab to right click. I also used double tab and hold to drag windows/icons/folders (in MacOS i do it with 3 fingers hold). Pretty much all MacOS gestures work on Windows.

Low power mode on charging is to prevent for the cpu to draw more power hence increasing it's temperature while the battery is already increasing the overall chasis temperature while charging. Literally something that may be usefull

Some of us are left-handed, hence the lower left for "right-click." I use a Magic Trackpad with my Late 2015 iMac 27" with my left hand. I use the default two-finger right click since it's independent of handedness. For my 2017 13" MBP, I usually use my left hand on the trackpad, but sometimes I use my right. Again, I use the default. I don't even know if these corner options are available for my machines/Mac OS versions as I've never needed to look for them. This is also similar to swapping the functions of the buttons on a mouse if you're left-handed. So you'll either need an ambidextrous mouse or a specific left-handed mouse which is uncommon.

I decided to jump the gun and buy the MacBook Air 15 inch but with 24GB RAM and leave the 256GB SSD since I have an 5TB external hard drive and seems people worry too much on storage due to only 1 chip which I get but after seeing so many videos and KZbinrs doing “benchmarks” cause I don’t think I’ll see any difference in the SSD and I’m sure it can run very well with a lot of applications and especially having a gaming monitor so I don’t need a Pro MacBook, yes people will say I should have gone with the Pro but people underestimate how good the M2 Air is and it’s portability, I’d say if you love the M2 Air, go for It, just make sure to get more RAM whether it’s 16 or 24GB rather than storage and can’t wait for my experience on the M2 Air 15 inch !!

Hi GG, I decided to comment here after watching your other video on the 15" MacBook Air and this one. I have the base model M2 MacBook Air 15” in silver. My use case is basic; web surfing, email checking, social media posting, and a photo/video edit once in a while. I’m a first time Apple laptop user and have never owned a laptop. I knew exactly what I was getting when I chose the base model, if I need extra storage I have several external SSDs I can use. As for the 8 gigs of unified RAM, my use case should not require more than that. If there’s one downside to my purchase it’s the future proof aspect, however, since I have no plans to change workflows from my 2021 M1 24” iMac with 16 GB of unified RAM and a 1 TB SSD to my M2 15” MacBook Air, I’m perfectly fine with my decision and use case for my M2 15” MacBook Air. In your last video (I think it was the one before this one) at the very end you mentioned that you wouldn't recommend the base model, I politely disagree. A decision to purchase one machine over another must be based on a users individual computing needs. Peace.

I just upgraded from my 2016 MacBook to an M2 MacBook Air so it was strange for me when my laptop recommended me to have the computer attached to the AC so as to not use the battery. Would you recommend I have my MacBook always on the AC when I am at home to preserve the battery for longer? I am =not very tech savvy so not even sure if I have the right idea lol thank you!

Hello I need help choosing a MacBook laptop. I work in graphic design and I’m looking for the ultimate beast for my job. Since MacBook prices are much higher here in Serbia compared to America, it’s harder for me to choose the right laptop that I’ll use for many years. Prices range from $1700 to $2500 converted to dollars. I’m considering both the MacBook Air and Pro versions. Due to the nature of my work, a more compact laptop with a smaller 13-14 inch display would be preferable for me. I would appreciate your assistance in selecting a laptop. Warm regards from Serbia.
