I have Mcgaughys kit on 22 2500hd , love the kit hate the piggy back shocks, went through a set in a year , one completely blew a seal in the rear, one up front had now rebound . Riding fox now ! With no issues and better ride quality. So I wouldn’t have replaced almost 2k shock for a $300 shock .

As much as I hate to admit it, a strut spacer would ride better keeping the factory multimatic suspension. McGaughys struts are “okay”. They’re not kings or fox’s by any means.

Ready Lift makes a 7” for this truck that keeps the factory strut with a spacer so yes it is definitely doable that way 🔥

Looks great but that’s a waste of an AT4. Should have just done a base model and added all the fancy bits. Would have saved a bunch.
