i also have gestational diabetes and will be giving birth in a couple of weeks! noticed you are mentioning having certain foods for the first time in awhile and i'm wondering if it is okay to eat a bit more freely right after birth, as i thought you had to still wait until it goes away? just looking for useful information to keep myself safe and hoping to have more food options :)

My doctor said I can eat like normal but to watch my diet since gestational diabetes is an “outlook” into our chances of getting type 2 diabetes. I didn’t need to check my blood sugars anymore either, I’ll get my A1C checked at my 6 week appt!
