Who are we?
We are a European couple from Germany (Alex) and the Netherlands (Mandy), sailing around the World on our 36ft sailboat. 3 years ago we started our journey in Greece with little sailing experience, figuring things out as we go, thinking we know what we are getting ourselves into. After those 3 years we know better, so it was time we took on a new challenge: we added a little crew member to our boat family, meet Levi!
Our goal is to circumnavigate the world on our 36ft Beneteau as a famliy. Sailboat life is super different from land life. It is fantastic and pretty rough at times. And now with little Levi, it often is even harder and more fun.
see the little things tries to FIND HAPPINESS BY DOING THINGS THAT ARE HARD. Join us on this journey and let's find happiness together!
If you have any COMMENTS, suggestion, questions or feel to need to praise (or scold) us, leave a comment down below and we’d happily write you back :). Of course a THUMBS UP is ALWAYS APPRECIATED very much so and helps us a lot!

The battery in the GPS allows it to remember date/time and last position, this allows it to get a fix a lot quicker when switched on. It has no effect on the GPS once running and cannot cause it to loose a fix. Your antenna appears to be mounted low and close to metal next to and above it. If so that will cause it to loose it's fix every now and then. It needs an unobstructed view of the sky from horizon to horizon to work best.

Hi guys, really enjoyed the episode but at the same time felt sad because I know how difficult must has been. Sarah sent you a message, if you need a break with the baby once you get to the Caribbean. you can go and stay with our family in Cuba as long as you need, you will have food and care and help with Levi as as a new mother (heath check, etc) any help that we can give. Love from Kiki and Sara @ Sailing SV Cuba😘🥰

Aagh love it - you guys are going to be such great parents. In 2004 - we met a 16 yr old that had circumnavigated 3 times with his folks - what an amazing world view he had - confident assured generous - geez I remember when you guys were scared to go out of the marina - many moons ago. Saw ya on Sailing Sunday - leaving the Verdes... Have fun. Enjoy your coffee Alex..

Hi Alex its good to have you and the family back! When you sail do you always let your prop spin, when the engine is not on? I don't know whether its best to stop it spinning by putting the gear box in reverse or not! Cheers
@seethelittlethings
@seethelittlethings 2 жыл бұрын
Hey Clive, it’s a fierce discussion for some. We free spin. Putting the prop in reverse when doing 6-7 knots feels like doing damage to the gearbox. It really doesn’t sound like a good idea to us

You have a lot more subscribers than currently getting viewers. Does that suggest the potential is still there to rebuild rapidly if you can get the headlines catchy and grab attention? You must still be coming up in subscriber feeds as you do in mine.
@seethelittlethings
@seethelittlethings 2 жыл бұрын
True, although sub feed is not that much traffic. Usually people stay on homepage and watch whats recommended. And if you watch two late night skits your home feed will show no sailing anymore 😂 It’s usually a bad sign if a channel has more subs than views. Especially if many of those views come from non-subscribers. We will work it out.
