That's awesome! The locomotive pulling the train sounds like it has an EMD roots blown, two stroke 567 C engine. I live in America and the sounds of an EMD 567 engine are rarely heard on any Class 1 mainlines these days. (I grew up in the 1980's and '90s and heard both the 567 and 645 engine sounds, both non turbo and turbo.) This loco pulling the train looks almost like an EMD GP28 freight engine.

Love this! Cant wait to see if these heritage groups paint them up!

I hope not, it’s better to leave them in their original livery

@ I mean they’ve already stripped them of the corporate PTV colours, reckon it’s better to leave them in the darkish grey they look like now? I think it’d be cool to see them in maybe VR blue n gold, or 707 do up there SG set in Tangerine, would be cool to see a Vinelander trip in the old Tangerine haha!

@ lol SRHc has them too but they didn’t put them in gold & blue like livery

I enjoyed this video, abit odd seeing a VR Liveried T Class hauling these N Cars, but this will almost be the norm to any preserved railway that was gifted these cars

It sounds like one of the coaches or carriages in your case, was fitted with an engine generator set to supply the HEP to the train's consist. (I live in the US and we had steam heated passenger trains with engine generator sets and batteries, until HEP was adopted) The locomotive appears to be a freight only loco and didn't see any HEP receptacles on either end of it. These carriages look very similar to the cars that were built by Canadian Car & Foundry for Canadian National Railway back in 1955, and were later used in VIA services. (Via is Canada's version of Amtrak here in the US) Although, these carriages appears to have HEP receptacles.
