First 5 Mods I Did On My 2016 F150

Of course I wasn't going to leave this F150 stock! In this video I install the first 5 upgrades to my 2016 Ecoboost F150 XLT to make it look better and run better including OEM Special Edition headlights with LED bulbs, a shorty antenna, blacked out emblems, a JLT 3.0 oil air separator, and a new USB module that gives my truck Apple Carplay capability! Oh man. I'm liking the black. Glad you got rid of the chrome. I'll have to take a look at my mom's Edge for Apple CarPlay too and see if she just needs a new module. I'm also glad you brought up the Shelby. Saw it in the background of a few shots and it did look a little sad sitting still. Nice work!

Does Apple car play function with Android? I've never owned an iPhone waiting for my 2021 Edge soon as chips are available will also be blacking it out.

@@mrvwcastner Android has its own interface called Android Auto. Looks like the 2021 Edge has Sync 4 and Android Auto included which is cool.

@@ProjectCarMedia my car was finished being made March 5th I think just waiting for the chip. My 2018 has had new brakes, tires windshield and a long block since then. Lease company is getting hosed on the extra time. The infotainment is 10" I hope it hooks to phone for Zoom somehow but not likely

@@mrvwcastner Apple CarPlay has a Zoom app so I’m sure Android Auto does too. I’m sure the lease company can afford it haha.

Do you have links for where you purchased the items you installed. Love the black emblems and USB module. We are pretty close with our vehicles as I have a 2015 F150 super crew and a 2019 GT350!

@@ProjectCarMedia Thanks so much for the info. Thought about painting the front fender emblems but those you got look nice. I just removed the tailgate emblems since there were no holes! Shelby is magnetic grey with black strips and truck is the same color as yours. I went with 2” Ford Performance rear drop being 2WD.

I was going to paint my stock emblems too but I ended up getting the blacked out emblems and they worked out great. The magnetic gray with black stripes is one of my favorite color combos. Nice choice! As far as the F-150 I bet it looks good with that 2" drop in the rear!

I’ve updated my sync 3 to 3.0 and changed out the usb drive to two different ones and I can not get it to work I’ve tried so have and watched videos and I can’t seem to figure it out I’m at the point of giving up

Did you get the one from Ford or aftermarket? Saw a video where you need to get it from Ford. Haven’t done my yet.

Anyone thinking of upgrading turn signals front and back to LED? I would like to change the bulb. But don't wanna deal with hyper flashing.

I did LED bulbs in my front and rear turn signals and had no hyper flash.
