For sure! To that point, we're taking the van out for a week with a water leak that I just located. There is no time for a repair, so we will wing it!

We live in Northern Wisconsin, and have the same issues of people reserving for multiple days and not use them. I love the first come-first serve better. That way we may actually be able to get a spot!!

Sadly, most of the first come, first served, have converted to reservation. That's why we mainly stay dispersed. In fact, we're currently alone at the top of Mt. Hood in our van with snow coming down!

Since you sprayed your fenders just go ahead and mount those items to the fender. Or roof rack above the cab space. Great job.

Really glad you're enjoying it. Yes, you better be a good problem solver if you want to enjoy this lifestyle. In fact, I just got my van back together after fixing a hard-to-get-to-water leak. Fixed the leak with better parts and I have advanced my skillset a bit. Take care!

Just an idea, why don’t you put the max tracks on the prinsu rack above the cab? I’ve seen other people with them up there and it looks really nice

I already moved them. For my setup, I plan on mounting removable aluminum boxes up there. I already had the boxes, I just have to find the time to get them mounted. The other reason I'm not as much of a fan for that spot is that it's less convenient. I have the pin setup on my van. When on the roof, you have to go to each side of the rig to get them unfastened. I realize that's a minor inconvenience, but for me, I know I would make excuses for taking them off for simple tasks like leveling out.

Greetings. First time viewer of your channel here and you have a very cool setup for your Tacoma. If you don't mind, how much does that setup weigh and what kind of suspension are you running? I currently am running a Overland rack and RTT setup and looking to change our setup a bit. We are looking pretty hard at teardrop style offroad trailers at the moment, but this Alu-Cab setup is very intriguing. How difficult or easy is it to climb up into the bed loft? Thanks in advance :)

Hi Brian, I haven't officially weighed it, but Mule said it's around 7,500 lb. I'm running an OME suspension, more about that in the video link attached. I also have a video going over the entire canopy and cost, too. I also have an offroad trailer with a rtt on it. So if you decide to go the trailer route, I might have some tips for you too. Good luck finding the right setup for yourself. kzbin.info/www/bejne/sKW2k31tpKqnpbM

I'm curious as to why the awning is installed on the driver's side rather than camp side of the truck?
@seandawnvantures2001
@seandawnvantures2001 8 ай бұрын
It's really common on the driver side, as it's the guaranteed exit side. Plus the campers rear door swings passenger.

I am curious how much it cost to have your Alu Cab built for your Toyota Tacoma?
@seandawnvantures2001
@seandawnvantures2001 Жыл бұрын
Here is a video where I break down each part cost with installation. Obviously, every build is individualized. You don't need all that I have to have an AluCab Canper. But this should answer most of your questions kzbin.info/www/bejne/haDPXoGoopdobrs

Stay tuned for our 6-month review later this week. We don't typically stay in campgrounds either, which we stated in the video. That was the only trip this setup has been in a campground. In fact , we just returned from an extended BDR trip.
