Yeah, agree, her technique was brilliant, but technique is nothing if you don't reach the ball. She deliberately did not want to work on her physique and endurance. It's impossible to move quickly around the court being so skinny.

I still think that especially Bertens and Konta could've achieved so much more, if they both hadn't lost their momentums and probably even motivation during covid, both retired quite young

Pretty interesting to see how would be a final of a small women's tournament in China nowdays Sharapova packed arenas as none after Serena herself. I remember some tours in China in 2018, 2019 even the Shenzhen final proportionally there were not many people. That's why I say you can hate Sharapova for many reasons no problem but you can't say she was a bad for women's tennis the fact many teenagers still dream of living Maria's fairytale and fall depressed isn't her fault at all.
