In most cases leaving the compressor bolted to the original skid is best for stabiity !!....You can also lag bolt it to 3x3's a little wider than the compressor itself or 4x4 etc....The wider stance prevents it from walking due to the vibrations generated by it running ....1/2 solid rubber 4'' to 6'' square under each leg helps also to dull vibrations !!
