@@kawaii33366 The beige woman do has strong expressions, but I don't find it really cringy tbh. What I find cringy about her is how she started to play with her dress A LOT at the end. I'm not against feeling the song but I felt like that was too much. That's something kids in kindergarten do when they perform.

Ok so first of all WOW. And second I could be completely overthinking this and completely wrong, but for me, each of the dancers represented a different aspect of Eliza. Like the dancer in the off-white represented Eliza’s natural personality of being innocent, kind, a romantic, but at the same time slightly naive. The dancer in the red was her frustrations and insecurities (I noticed she would dance most often when other women or Alex and Angelica’s relationship was mentioned), and the yellow dancer was her sadness and heartbreak. The off-white dancer was normally in the front or first showing that the emotions she represented was the first one Eliza went to, even if it was in the memories she had, then her reaction went to anger, followed after by sadness. And when all of them together represented every part of Eliza feeling the despair of Alexander’s infidelity. This was beautifully choreographed and even if my take on its meaning was incorrect, it was one of the most moving pieces I’ve ever seen!

@gracemartin7721

Aman Kaur Peggy would make sense being represented with the yellow, but I don’t think the red would be Maria Reynolds. If the colors were meant to represent other characters then I think Angelica would then fit the red dancer. Either way that was a great way of looking at it

Like she had to be precise in her movements so alex could have his career the girl in the cheastnut had to be fluid cause she had to be able to react to every situation alex caused and the girl in the yellow had to be powerful cause eliza had the power to forgive not only that to tell his story after he was gone ? Im probs over thinking but i dont think it was just coincidence

Ok this is lovely and all but all I can think about is how the heck did the performer in orange do that thing during the "when I told her what you'd done" lyric where for one step, her toes are completely curled under the rest of her foot and she actually walks on the knuckles of her toes? I'm not describing it well but it's basically like she's en pointe, but she's not wearing pointe shoes. How the heck did she do that?! That has to hurt! Not to mention the level of foot strength and flexibility it must require! Holy heck that was impressive.

@iferawhite7661

@The Dapper Donuts it also makes the dance more satisfying and the movements more powerful in some cases. Being in synch is a way to make your dance very appealing, although sometimes in choreography they intentionally make the movements out of synch to create a sense of chaos, like certain movements in this dance.

The choreography is beautiful! I admire the musicality and the use of three people. For example the head turns to the piano around 1.04 and how when there is multiple people singing, all dancers are dancing which makes it more impactful which is the exact reason why there are more singing.

I can not put in words exactly how touched I was by this video. Ever since I first listened to that song I've always dreamed of watching a contemporary piece with that track. And this is exactly what I pictured in my mind! OK. Not the exact moves because I'm not a choreographer but the idea I mean! :P The way the dancers take turns in the narrative, the way the movements echo just like second voice harmonies, the jumps and pirouettes sometimes in sync with the song, other times in sync with the lyrics. Ugh, I loved it.I am sure LMM would love that too! Thank you all, thank you, thank you, thank you.

Idk why but at 1:03 when they all turn their heads with the piano notes is REALLY satisfying Also, this could be completely wrong but I think that why the song ends so abruptly is because it was representing their relationship. Before then everything was beautiful and perfect then it ends on a harsh loud note.

I mean this really seriously when I say this is the first price of choreography I have *appreciated as art*. I appreciated other prices before, and recognized others as art, but I think this is the first time I actually understand dance as an art form. I hope no one takes offense to this because I really had tried to hard to see dance as art the way I see music and writing and acting, but something never clicked for me. Until today. Until right now. I don’t know if it was because I’m already so emotionally attached to the music or the insanely talented performers (never seen anything like this) but...WOW. It just all came together for me. I get it. Thank you.

Okay I would like to talk about the ending??? The part where it's like "you have thrown it all away stand back watch it burn" And then to the end, yeah that part. The amount of pure emotion that every single one of these women put forward into this dance is just incredible, but specifically at this part I was blown away. Listening to this part of the song, I could FEEL through the screen what Eliza went through, not only through the voices of these incredible women who sang the song but through the DANCE! It was so incredible watching these women give everything they had into this specific part of the dance and like,, wow. This is just incredible. Beautiful job. Edit: @ time stamp 2:38 specifically is where I feel very emotional. I'm just in awe right now

First off BEAUTIFUL! Absolutely STUNNING! Second this is how I see it. Girl in the off white dress: This is Eliza, made fairly obvious because of how she’s the first one we see. From her movements to the color of her dress IT MATCHES ELIZA SO WELL. White is seen as a color of innocence and purity. Eliza in the musical is portrayed as such. This girls movements are soft but hesitant. She flows with the tempo of the song and pauses for a brief second and then continues. Showing how she was contemplating whether his words were true to her or not. For most of the song she keeps up with this style of movement. This can be seen as a way of finding out when she pauses and when she continues she forgives and moves on. but the conflict keeps on rising. Hence why it keeps happening.. When Eliza says “I thought you were mine” she steps out of the picture and the lady in red shows up. A.k.a. Maria Reynolds. She now stands in the back of the line now that she is gone off to vacation with her sister and maria Reynolds steps in the picture. The girls in the red crop top and short skirt: Maria Reynolds in the show is portrayed as a woman who has deceived Alexander Hamilton so her and her husband could get more money. (There is actually a different reason for why Maria Reynolds is even in Hamilton’s life but let’s keep talking about dance.) The same with the girl in the white dress the clothing and her movements betray the actions of the character in the Musical. Because of her lack of clothing she is seen as a more sexualized character. While Eliza is more fully clothed, that relates back to why Eliza is the innocent one. But in this case we have the opposite. Not only is there not a lot of clothing on this women but it’s also skin tight for her chest, but loose around her lower regions. This is to represent the attractiveness of this character and how they use seduction to their advantage. Now onto her movements you can just tell she’s a risk taker when she stood on the knuckles of her toes. That requires immense strength in both ankle and foot. For “ you told the whole world how you brought this girl into our bed” she falls to the floor and looks at the floor (A.k.a. Hamilton) with a face on intention. Her movements and sharp and to the point. No smooth transition like Eliza. No hesitation. The girl in the yellow dress: Well she may not have a lot of screen time she still represent something very important. Yellow is seen as a color that can represent caution or conflict. This situation the girl in the yellow dress is everyone, except Hamilton. Ever since Hamilton released the Reynolds pamphlet everyone’s been questioning him. They think why does he keep going? If you notice you can tell that this girl is usually in between the girl in the white dress and the red outfit. The dress itself is also a representation of both parties with the skin tight top and the flowing skirt at the bottom. But it’s one piece representing that the society is the conflict that Hamilton is facing. This girl is always almost is in between both of the other girls. She stands between the two women. Well the girl in the yellow dress isn’t specifically one person like I said it’s still plays a big part. Long story short the girl in the yellow dress is societies view on the situation. It’s split but still similar.

I literally love this song so so much and this dance truly visualizes the feelings that are in it. Not only the technical side of it but also the emotional. Their faces were almost plain, but the movements showed everything. This just proves that the arts are a huge part of our lives and cannot be overlooked. All three of these women are obviously powerful and graceful, just like how most young girls want to grow up to be someday. Every action they do means something, something much deeper and stronger. Each woman dances differently, it isn't a strict routine. It flows. I cannot express enough how amazing this dance is. Congrats to the dancers and choreographer, you all did an amazing job and keep doing what you are doing!
