In India it takes 3 months for booking of learner slot after 1 month you are eligible for filling of driving skill test... 3 months wait for that ..after that it takes 1 month sometimes more than 1 month to approve your license and after approval it takes one more month to get your license at home so total nearly 9 months to get license and but in my case it takes more than 1 yr to get my license due to covid 19

As a Mechanical Engineer I would say an expenditure of $2000 is unnecessary. If you can buy a simple tool kit for a max of 100$ then you could have literally done all the repairs yourself. Braking coolant refill takes a max of 1 hour and you can buy it from a store for a max of 40$. You can literally jump start a dead battery with jumper cables and they cost a max of 10$ unless u need a completely new battery (very rare incidence unless u bought it with an almost dead one which means it has been used for several years). Replacing a battery is a 30 minute task and will cost u a max of 100$. Struts are complicated and you would need a jack but jacks just cost 200 at max and it would take u a max of 2 hours i would say considering ur toyota is way easier to get into than my BMW (heavy chassis reinforcement). air filter should be again a max of 100 and 1 hour job. so if you could have spent like just one day, you might have saved 1500$. Ik car maintenance is costly here specially for me since I own a german one, thats y i think its better to work on your car urself and save the money as well.

Car inspections are always a scam here in the US. I took my car and it had one screw loose in the front control arm they quoted $800 just to fix that. I would suggest going to the dealer for all kinds of repairs if it has warranty.

Its same in australia. We have to do inspection once a year. One mideast mechanic quoted me $1500 just to clear. I went to a chinese guy whom i know and he cleared it for no extra charge ! Chinese mechanics are best value as far as i have seen

Any number of times you take your car to pepboys or Firestone, they will always tell you that something is not up to mark in the car, it might need to be replaced, etc, etc, but if the car runs fine, don't bother to spend extra money on it. Just change oil after recommend miles and that's it. If you get bored of the car or it seems to about to give issues, sell and get a another one.

bhai, you need to have your car inspected at a different shop too specially if they claim that a lot of items needs to be fixed. Sometimes, these car shops will try to fool you since we dont have that much knowledge about cars. I still dont understand how car inspection is so costly in Atlanta. Try Firestone, they're offering car inspection and tire rotation at $9.99. Mostly all the car dealers like Toyota, Nissan etc offer car inspection at no additional cost. Its good that your car dealer offered to fix a few items. Cabin Air filter/Engine Air Filters are the two parts which they'll always ask you to change even though you have a new one. In the end, I would suggest you to have your car inspected at any other place and do a lot research when choosing repair shop or any car parts

@@SinghinUSA For your car I'd say every 10,000 miles for an oil change if it uses synthetic oil. You should also get your tires rotated every 5,000-10,000 miles as well to prevent uneven wear (front of the car is heavier than the rear). Other than that, if you take care of a Toyota, it'll take care of you. I would also check this site out for a detailed list of what you should get done and when: www.toyota.com/owners/parts-service/maintenance-schedule. Speaking as someone who drives a 2015 Camry, the "Maint Reqd" light will come on every 5K miles, but that is only for tire rotation. You don't need to change the oil until 10,000 miles or 1 year, whichever comes first. Another thing I would recommend is doing the simple stuff yourself and save the money. Things such as changing your filters, windshield fluid, changing any headlight or tail light bulbs. You can easily find KZbin videos on how to do it.
