Brother, I hope alot of people watch this to make everyone aware of just how quick we can find ourselves in trouble and you reacted immediately. It was still a good thing Trapped Up was with you man! Be safe out there!!

Friend trained his sled dog team on the river. He went thru the ice into 10' of water... he got to thick ice, pulled the dogs out, got the sled pulled out. Got back to his truck and his zippers had frozen shut and his truck keys were in the pocket. He got tot he nearest house, called me(I helped with the dogs during races) and I raced down there and got him and the dogs, brought them back to my parents house to thaw in front of the wood stove in the garage and warm up/dry out. e was borderline i shock form the cold... not a fun thing to mess with! I used to do the polar bear plunge on New Years Day... talk about a hangover cure! Jump into 32 degree water...

Di u forget the safties at around 12 min? Also, please be safe. I love your videos. I went under and filled chestwaders a long time ago setting duck decoys. A wader belts helps a lot. But I had to wait 2 hours in the blind before dad came to pick me up. I was just about frozen. November hunt in New Brunswick. I dropped my loaded bps too. Went back to camp, got changed and warmed up. Went back out with a dry set of waders and foot kicked around where the bps was and was able to pull it up with a stick. Yes, it was on safe but still not a great scenario. The ducks were coming in while we moved some decoys around so we took the guns into the water. I have never been in water since that gets near the top lol.

How about using Katoola micro spikes for bette traction on your wader boots? Works great for on ice and walking down or up steep banks.

Need to fork out and get yourself a dry suit. Super useful for fisheries management in the winter and would work well for beaver trapping

When things start iceing up beaver's just don't travel as much got to set as close to their home as possible and after they get a little educated i sometimes pull out of a area come back in a few days sneak some conibears in and take out the big educated ones i have had bears run my line and spring every trap especially after you have taken out the smaller ones yes they can become very smart
